There's an alternative way for users who want to switch their precious existing number into a digi campus plan.
Since effective from 1st of november onwards, converting existing dg prepaid number into campus is no longer available,
users been rather sad over it and had been trolling the forums for answers toward this.
Fear not, i have an alternative solution towards this.

Though converting existing number is no longer available, Campus MNP still exist.
That means users can actually port out to other operators as prepaid and port back in to digi as digi campus.
This method is still workable and it have not been cancelled till now.
Though it'll take some footwork to travel about but it'll give all users to switch into digi campus without problem.
Users can head down to your nearest dss outlets to give it a try.

Yes,as normal procedure applies.
The one digi campus number once a lifetime rule still applies.
So if pple who actually registered once and thinkin of reapplyin again will need to reincarnate to get his/her second digi campus lol.

haha.. because since last 3 months EDGE is not that good, hardly can achieve 150kbps, average speed is 120kbps, quite slow.. now on 3G, can get 400kbps constant.. using nokia 6630 which doesnt have 3.5G.. i wonder what the speed is if i use 3.5G modem tongue.gif

Actually DiGi Campus is only for EDGE speed but just that since we are in the coverage, so we request it to activate for us. smile.gif

It is the same even though it captures HSDPA connection but DiGi has capped us to normal UMTS speed, so it doesn't make difference. smile.gif

You might want to change it to a modem as the phone might heat up pretty badly

i have been using it exclusively as modem since 2 years ago with digi edge data RM66, so far no problem, but the battery is affected smile.gif ..

when the hspda becomes affordable (less than RM50 mth), i have nokia 6120c in hand to be the modem tongue.gif ..

How's the edge speed compare to 3G/HSDPA ? As I mentioned , my area is not cover by 3g nor hsdpa thus leaving on edge. Do you think worth to apply for their edge services ?

If yes , mind share what kind of packages is available for it ? i myself have usb hsdpa modem , do you think it's better to have another sim card for this alone ?

thank you in advanced.

Maximum EDGE can go is around 220kbps.

Yes worth it, for normal surfing and chatting and some light downloads too. smile.gif

No package, only one data unlimited for RM 30/month.

Yes, it is better to get a dedicated SIM card for data but DiGi Campus only allows one student ID for one SIM card.
