Yes, I'm using it for DiGi EDGE only. Don't bother the promotion for calls/SMS. laugh.gif

U sure the broadband good?? i heard that there are a lot of problem >.<
What speed can get??
*
Haven't tested yet, I want to test it on the 1st oct, otherwise i will spend RM30 only for 5 days usage tongue.gif .. My digi edge postpaid is ok here in Gombak (for light surfing and download), speed is stable around 150kbps - 200kbps.. I have been using it for 1 year plus already..

1 question, what happen if i terminate my digi edge 2 days after billing cycle, would i be charged RM66 fixed or apportioned for 2 days? (my billing cycle is on 8th every month, lets say i terminate on 10th)

To me, it is stable. EDGE is not meant for speed but for stability.
I can do surfing, playing FB games, blogging and direct download.
Why not? Just RM 30.00/month.
In case you are wondering of the speed, less than 230kbps.
Will be prorated. RM 66/30days x 2. If I'm not mistaken, it should work that way because I switched from my DiGi normal postpaid to DiGi Ambassador plan, it was calculated in such way. smile.gif

Ok nod.gif , thanks fruitie..

Well, this is to avoid the talktime being transferred to others.
Err. I'm not involved with this kind of things, I don't use prepaid and top up during birthday.
*
I dont know about this, just planned to topup extra during my bday to fund 10 mth broadband sweat.gif .. too bad..

how do we use the phone as a modem then? same method?

Just install your phone's software and connect from there. I presume it is the same. smile.gif

I use Nokia 6630 as a modem for digi edge.. Just install nokia pc suite, choose 'connect to internet' in the menu and change the telco setting to 'Digi Malaysia', after that you are connected rclxms.gif .. Very easy..

Obviously you should, you are not getting the speed you are supposed to get.

yesterday I D'chat with customer service, after complaining that my speed test showed only 90kbps they said "thanks for your complain. however, our internet speed is based on best effort basis".. i didn't know what to say anymore..

Wow you get this kind of response from them? I think you better complain that customer service consultant then. I've never get this kind of response from their side yet.
*
feel very irritated when they use that excuse. but no point also complain about that consultant, it won't solve my slow internet speed. I immediately 'end chat' after i get that response.

If I have any problem regarding my EDGE, I'll call 016-2211800 and they will ask for my location and rectify not long after that.
*
maybe i should try to call them also nod.gif ..

does digi EDGE broadband promises/guarantees minimum speed that we will get (e.g. 70% of maximum EDGE speed)?

yup nice speed haha..... once you get addicted with 3G, EDGE will be very painfully slow
*
haha.. because since last 3 months EDGE is not that good, hardly can achieve 150kbps, average speed is 120kbps, quite slow.. now on 3G, can get 400kbps constant.. using nokia 6630 which doesnt have 3.5G.. i wonder what the speed is if i use 3.5G modem tongue.gif

QUOTE(singdreams @ Jan 15 2010, 12:28 AM)
I thinking GPRS LOL ,How worse is the speed shocking.gif
*
agreed, i can't use dial up internet anymore, feel very impatient when surfing, laugh.gif

It is the same even though it captures HSDPA connection but DiGi has capped us to normal UMTS speed, so it doesn't make difference. smile.gif

You might want to change it to a modem as the phone might heat up pretty badly
*
i have been using it exclusively as modem since 2 years ago with digi edge data RM66, so far no problem, but the battery is affected smile.gif ..

when the hspda becomes affordable (less than RM50 mth), i have nokia 6120c in hand to be the modem tongue.gif ..
