For my travel on 16th of August, my consultant says, the High Commission might not grant me a Student Visa, as I am going quite early, so if that happens, I will need to reenter UK. What country is the most affordable to travel to, and reenter UK after that?

my goodness, you should save ur space and weight on others stuff like milo, herbs or anythings which can't get/very expensive.. duvet you can easily get at tesco/wikinson.. it's only cost 4-10 quids(depends on quality)... besides you can't survive with your thick blanket during winter time, you will freeze to dead if you are using thick blanket. especially Newcastle is lots more cold compare to london ...

Guys, I previously had a UK Visa for 2 years, and now I have completed my degree and my visa is coming to a due. I am going back to UK this september again for another course (BARVOCATIONALcourse)

So how do I renew my UK Visa for another year ? Do I have to go through all the troubles when I first apply for a UK visa ? Can anyone guide me on this ...?

i am afraid you have to go through as fresh application.

the visa extension is usually when one is continuing under the same course. i've renewed my visa once, and it didnt take a 55 page application, but more like 5 pages. the only headache is the GBP400 charge.

no, actually you can extend your old student visa but you still need to pay the same amount money as new application and probably fill in different form(if i'm not mistaken).
haha.. welcome to UK systems.. azarimy is right, the ££ is the headache when you are trying to extend your student visa just for few months. when you try to calculate, it's not worth it unless you really need it..  otherwise if you need the few months to wait for graduation ceremony then u just forget it. you can always use tourist visa and attend your graduation ceremony.

the systems has changed.. last time i went back to malaysia for my psw, the form was only 4-5 pages but in UK there's 50pages++... some more changes is double.. if i did psw in uk, i sure sakit hati.. double man, it's already half of my flight ticket.. hahah..

But i would like to get it done in malaysia. possible ? cus im having my break now. i dont wanna go through all the trouble of applying/renewing my visa when im in UK. any ideas ?

I put the date 16th August, and have applied on the 8th of July (Wednesday).

Let's say they grant me a later date for my visa, what should I do? Can I travel there 1st using Tourist Visa, and then re-enter UK after going to France? Or I have to come back to Malaysia?

Or I have to purchase another flight ticket to go there at a later date?

My left fingers are fine, but my right fingers have lost almost all of the fingerprint due to some sort of eczema  The lady inside the room who was in-charge to take the photo and biometric fingerprint had to take my prints twice, having lots of trouble with my right fingerprints in the process. I pressed my fingers hard against the fingerprint device so hard it hurts XD. Anyhow, in the end it appears i passed the fingerprinting parts, the lady mentioned i need a letter from doctor to verify i have problems with my fingerprints when i reach uk tho.

Can one apply to UK universities using STPM results? I was thinking of applying to Imperial but I can't find the necessary requirements for international students. The only requirements stated in their website are A-levels and IB... Please clarify for me...

another option you can consider is to leave uk to some country nearby, and come back as a visitor. but you may have to do a lot of explanation then. just say that you've just finished your study (your visa ends on last day of school) and decided to come back to UK to visit for one last time and settle your bank/accommodation etc etc stuff before you leave UK for good in mid-sept. a return ticket back to malaysia would be a good proof that you will be returning to msia for sure too. shouldn't be a problem, and better than risking of overstaying.

I haven't submit my visa application yet. =( I need ATAS clearance certificate and it's already been more than a month that I applied for the cert. ah!! Im worried and my flight is on 20th!
