Just ran pwnagetools upgrade 2.0 to 2.1 over the weekend, very easy following the iclarified tutorial. Had a minor panic attack during the iphone shutdown/DFU mode steps where my phone hunged with error message. Unplugged the phone and repeat the shutdown process correctly, works like a charm.

Hi, it's been a long time since I mod my 2G iPhone.
When I came here, I saw about new firmware 2.1 can be loaded into 2G. Now, I am using 1.1.4 firmware with v3.9 baseband. May I directly upgrade to v2.1? How about the baseband, should I select both v3.9 and v4.6 in the quickpawn? I am downloading all the tools now for Windows based. Might do it by tonight. thanks |

Select both BL.bin to load in Quickpwn. It will automatically set to appropriate BL according to the firmware.

HI guys,
i'm facing some problems with the restoring of 2.1 using the quickpawn guide. Using itunes to restore with the file specified in the guide, it gives me error after extracting the image. Followed Apple help techniques, to restart, re-install, etc etc but they were all the same .. My bro tried the exact same thing with his iphone and it worked, =,= just not working with my Touch. It's suppose to support my TOUCH .. Do you guys have any other methods for me to try ? .. Thanks! |
