It's still RM2099 if you buy from HP.

Yup it's the same, to some extent. If you can install it on a desktop you should be able to install it on a laptop.

QUOTE(kurikuraX @ Nov 23 2008, 04:32 PM) try everest ultimate edition, can enable as window sidebar in vista Actually it applies to ALL laptops using 32-bit Windows.btw, i just put in 4gb (2gbX2) RAM into my lappie. It was utilized only at 3068mb in task manager but detected as 4gb in system properties, as well in everest; 4GB.. It conclude that both 125AX and 126AX only can utilize 4GB of RAM in 64bit platform as other forumers said before..btw, 400mhz made my system more snapier On Vista 32-bit with SP1 installed it will show 4GB, however only 3.5gb can be utilised. |

Read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-channel QUOTE Tom's Hardware found little significant difference between single-channel and dual-channel configurations in synthetic and gaming benchmarks (using a "modern" system setup). Dual channel at best might give a 5% speed increase in memory intensive tasks, not even close to the two times that "dual" suggests[3]. It should be noted that Tom's Hardware had a discrete graphics comparison. The difference is significant (~25%) for any 3D apps when using integrated graphics. |

I would have be in regret if I bought my 125AX only last month. To see a newer, better-spec model released the following month (with the SAME price) right after your purchase is really a kick in the teeth.
Oh well... that's how gadgeting works. |

QUOTE(willkhor @ Dec 1 2008, 01:00 PM) http://h50198.www5.hp.com/Store/storeModel.asp?familyid=1770You can still order the 125AX from HP, but that's not a wise thing to do since the newer 133/134AX is already out. They might as well remove the 125/26AX from their online store. |

Sometimes 'better' isn't necessarily better if you consider the traffic, the time it takes to get there, the heat, etc. If by 'better' it means getting an additional stick of 1GB DDR2 667 ram I might as well get it from lowyat.
There are many variables to consider. Personally I don't think it will get any better than HP's previous (or still ongoing?) promotion, RM2099 with a WD Passport 2"5 160GB. a non-cap ayam headset, and a 4GB thumb drive. The Passport alone is worth about RM220. |

QUOTE(daymond85 @ Dec 1 2008, 11:51 PM) Cannavaro, why developer temp for his proc so hot? Mine is not hot at the keypad, it's barely warm even. The hottest part is the ventilation at the back. As long as I can hear the fan spinning at full speed I have no worries. how abt urs? keypad there feel really hot? i think i wanna go PC fair and feel the heat from keypad there... hehe I haven't checked the cpu temp though. QUOTE(nevland @ Dec 2 2008, 12:31 PM) i just saw in THE STAR today, CQ 40-115AU going for RM1599 - i think it's the best bargain... So it is true after all! I think it's a PC Fair Promo.HP Mini 1001TU is for RM1699 plus free 160gb external hdd. |

QUOTE(daymond85 @ Dec 5 2008, 08:13 AM) actually, i mean that xrossfire in 115au not 125ax...nvm forget abt this....(i tot HP disabled the integrated GPU in 125ax so that it cant be used. Since 115au using integrated GPU and if can buy a discrete GPU for it, is it possible to do crozzfire? HP disabled discrete GPU slot in 115au?) The current price for a single stick of 2GB DDR2800 (Kingston) is RM70 at Viewnet. I check the pricelists almost everyday for updates and I've never seen it dip this low. Btw Viewnet almost always have the best prices. i know 133 come with extra spec, but the price is another thing if i upgrade both to 4GB ddr 800. 133ax, 3450+RM-72+320GB+4GB ddr2 800 = 2099+160 = 2259 115au, 3200+RM-70+160GB+4GB ddr2 800 = 1549+160 = 1709 2259-1709 = 550 So, RM550 for a slightly better (according to cannavaro) GPU, 0.1Ghz faster proc and 160GB HDD. Is it worth? Can anyone analyze for me? The price of 115au in pc fair is so so so attractive le.... Suffered me To answer your question... if you can afford the 133/134AX, go for it. If you can't, go for the 115AU. And no, you can't crossfire. |
