hmmm, if mandrine song cannot place in? because i try to plae in is fine, just that cannot play. do i need to convert?
i am not really sure about rom, because this is my first time using pda.  just wonder can i use the warranty to ask them to do for me?
*
about the rom.. hmm.gif if you using the different rom version from the HTC available rom, then it is counted as "illegal"....
since you just bought this TP recently... then the rom version from the HTC should be the latest one...
so although you use the warranty, they also wont flash the different rom for you...
to flash a different rom is on your own risk... biggrin.gif

i think you need to read all this thread... it certainly help you to understand about ur TP

correct me if i'm wrong

wow... i haven't visited this thread for 2 weeks and now it has reached 122 pages :/

i'm still not an owner of the TP yet, but really hoping to get one soon.

i read about the GPS delay problems (i.e. you turn left and the GPS does not update quick enough, i.e. you have to walk 100 metres before the GPS updates). yesterday i asked a salesperson regarding this issue, and he said "it only applied to garmin v4. now with garmin v5 the issue has been resolved".

now i have not heard of anything like that before. is he telling the truth or is he just lying to get the sale?

do you guys experience the gps lag problem? if yes, have you guys applied the tweaks and resolved the problem?

me too...never use GPS before. GPS uber n00b.

i got MapKing 2007 on 3-day trial right now. but i find that the GPS is forever not able to pinpoint my current location. e.g. i stay in Tampines...but the daym thing kept showing my location as somewhere in Orchard Rd pulak. blink.gif

when i go to GPS Status, it shows "Acquiring: No Fix" & there's a green circle with a "?" icon on the GPS Position tab.

then yesterday i tried Google Maps & clicked on "Use GPS", Google Maps was able to pinpoint My Location fairly accurately. went into MapKing 2007 again & this time the GPS showed the right location (i.e. there was way more info on the GPS Status & GPS Position tabs. what gives? icon_question.gif

Sorry guys for the delay on info regarding the invisible shield for HTC TP, the shield is pretty good in quality ( unscratchable ) and it gives you a really good grip at the back with nice sleek look too. I give it a 4/5 for the quality. The phone is 90% covered, one thing I dont like the corner which I dont seem to get it stick to the phone  properly. Overall its pretty good.

thats great man , really having a hard time , placed the back portion , and removed it later , didn't like the look as well as some imperfections here and there , but abandon it after all

ah, ok. then in that case, seems like Google Maps can fix faster cos of the A-GPS? while MapKing only use the built-in GPS (if i understand it right)?

tried again today, but this time i try d/l update for the Quick GPS before i went out. open MapKing when i was outdoors walking to bus stop, now it got a fix on my location really fast. tho i find it overall kinda slow in catching up to my location on-the-go. bus already turn, GPS haven't turn yet. tongue.gif

It's normal to have 2 second delay even for external GPS. It's a hardware limitation.

wat mengsuan said is right. Dont forget, all GPS for pdas and handphones have an accuracy of ten meters

and if u think about it, thats quite a lot smile.gif

Yes, quick GPS helps acquire a fix faster. I believe Mapking also can use A - GPS.

Hey Google Maps i believe uses active data connection!!! Becareful of your data charges!!

Hi all. I've been searching the best case to shield my TP.

First I've thought of getting the invisible shield, but after reading a lot about how hard to stick it and afraid if something goes wrong with the application, I went to Lowyat yesterday and bought a Capdase leather case instead.

And I've applied a screen Protector on it. And my TP now looks good with the case. I'll try to upload my TP with this capdase leather case soon.

The best part about this case is it has some sorts of stand to tilt it, suitable if you want to watch movies on tp, yeah smile.gif
