Out of all the IT shops there only 2 shops, both selling PDAs, get reallocated.

QUOTE(Chosen1 @ Nov 27 2008, 11:25 PM) Hi all... anyone else have a problem like mine? I can't seem to get my car charger (mini usb) to last. I used to have one that I bought from LYP for motorola, and when I got my HTC TP I found that it could work as well. Well it served me well for a few weeks and all of a sudden I find that I could not charge anymore. Well since it only cost rm12 or something I figured ah well sure cable inside koyak already. So in desperate need of one (since the batt really goes really fast as I use GPS and Bluetooth) I went to nearby jusco bukit tinggi to get one. Went to many shops and finally found one that sold it, expensive tho... at RM49. Since the joker didn't want to discount and I was lazy to drive to LYP I ma buy it lo. Cable seems alot thicker and looks like its better made. Anyway, after about 1 week and a half, today it just stopped charging again. No matter how many times i pull in, pull out it just won't charge. Everything works fine on the normal house charger and usb cable to pc. But just for the car charger it seems like it just won't last. Anyone else has this problem? What do you sifu's think might be the prob? Pure bad luck? my cheapo motorola charger still serving me well till today [ > 3 years d ]....maybe due to your cigarette socket problem? or perhaps irregular voltage supply?....my advise is to get the car charger with the fuse one for safety purpose....This post has been edited by old newspaper: Nov 27 2008, 11:31 PM |

Here's another freeware/donationware to further enhanced your TP !
TellMeText TellMeText intercepts incoming SMS (text) messages to your Windows Mobile device and reads them out to you before they go to your inbox. This can be really useful in situations where you have your phone but can't or don't want to physically touch it to read incoming messages. (For example, if you're driving a car or eating your lunch). TellMeText can run in the background so it doesn't interfere with your normal use of the device. The TextToSpeech functionality is provided by software from the Flite project. TellMeText requires priviliged access to your device in order to intercept the SMS messages. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you download and install BlondieSoft's Windows Mobile Certificates first. Download it HERE ! For more info : visit BlondieSoft NOTE : I have not test this out yet, anyone willing to try it out for us? This post has been edited by old newspaper: Nov 28 2008, 09:12 AM |

or make sure all your contacts are copied from the Nokia to the SIM card also. then copy from SIM card to your Touch Pro.
but MS Outlook is the easier way to go...if you've been dilligently keeping your contacts up-to-date & filled with details too. btw, anyone using Viimo? or rather, anyone using RSS readers (i.e. free ones) on the Touch Pro? any recommendations? Viigo seems fine so far. tho the one i'm using is a beta of their latest software version. there are 2 bugs(?) i noticed that i always kena : 1) i tend to keep my Data Connections closed/disconnected most times. when i launch Viigo, it tries to update the news feeds. but before anything can happen, for some reason, Viigo closes by itself. 2) i'm not 100% sure on this yet, cos only been using it a couple of days at most. but i think it doesn't really keep track of what/how many newsfeeds i've read & haven't read. it kinda seems like it's actually just reloading all the newsfeeds onto the channels i've got.
