HELP!!! Anyone can please teach me how to transfer all my contacts from a sony k800i to my HTC touch pro? I tried bluetooth transfer and it somehow won't allow/connect and I copy from handphone (k800i) to sim and then open with sim all the contact names go haywire... first name become last name etc

Hi, just want to ask a few questions to all the sifus here =)

I just recently bought the touch pro and i found out that my car charger for an old motorola actually fits the HTC touch pro. Works as well, but i was told by the htc sales person that prolonged usage on that car charger will spoil my batt because apparently got voltage or power difference or something. I honestly don't think its true but would like to ask all the pros here if this is real or if its just sales talk?

Another thing is that I bought the phone that comes together with the miniclip bluetooth headset (goldone). Now my question is that is it possible to disable the voice commands program? I currently use skype quite alot on the htc touch pro and honestly the loudspeaker isn't really good for skype chat. So i try to connect using my bluetooth handsfree and the only way that I can connect it once i make a skype call is by pressing the button once. It will connect and I will hear the person talking for a while but it will also launch the stupid voice command software. If i cancel the voice command software then the bluetooth will cut off again. Anyway around this?

Ah i see. Thank you so much for letting me know... save 138 man. But seriously my car charger that one is the very cheap RM 20 one that I bought for my motorola. Served me quite well, so do you think its oK? Or should I invest in a better one?

Yes for voice command, i know when I press the button on the handsfree it will come on. My question for it is if there is a way that I can press the handsfree button and it will not come on? So that I can use the handsfree to talk on skype.

Well... but the sales told me this in order to sell me the "original" TP car charger wor... so it kinda means that its the same leh if car chargers are all subject to volatile voltages.

Just wondering... I have never heard of Garmin if its really better than Mapking (which is honestly not bad IMO) then I just might consider getting it and replacing mapking. Where to get ah? AMS got ah?

So that means I have to reinstall all the software that I have installed before this one by one right? Cannot backup software leh... anyway... another question, I heard that after you flash your rom you kinda void warranty. So do you also provide me with a backup or original ROM so that you can flash back to get warranty or something?

And can anyone just like give an idea on the improvement on performance with the cooked rom? What benefits or upgrades will it provide?


On a totally separate issue, am I the only one who has this problem, sometimes when the phone goes on sleep mode, someone smses me, most of the time it comes in, but from time to time there will be a few smses that come but there is no alert or buzz, only the moment i press the power button to wake the phone up will the phone buzz and ring. By then the sms actually sent long ago

Hi all... I finally figured how to edit the registries yesterday... (yeah I'm that slow) but when it came to this, I found out that my cachesize value was set to 0 not 16384. Anyway i just changed the value to 32768. Has anyone had this problem before?

And yesterday I did a bunch of tweaks found on the first page of the thread. This morning when i woke up, i actually found out that my phone had auto restarted and was waiting for me to put in my pin number. Really odd, but I'm not sure if its one time or it could be a problem. Maybe i accidentally press something when I was sleeping... but how to press until it restart... geng.

Anyway... I also installed the patch from the first page that stops the 2 second lag when a call comes into your phone. I'm not sure if it works or not... since sometimes i feel there is lag... sometimes not. I still see the light shine first before the phone rings i think... so I would like to ask how to manually rectify this from the registry?

Help... has anyone ever used their TP to check email via the email software? I tried to add one and honestly have no idea how to make it work. I did all the settings correctly, and yet it tells me cannot connect. I already put connection via internet, plus i made sure the connection to internet was working.

Anyone know how to change the SMTP port to port 26?

Another question... I have installed advanced configs... and also diamond tweaks...... both to do some tweaking.... just to ask... will they clash with each other?

Added on November 20, 2008, 2:35 pmI already tried using diamond tweaks... i turn the delay on... and then off (just to check difference) and there isn't any difference. Is there any hard registry mod that I can tweak?
