Any advice/recommendation on a particular stocking/pantyhose that I can use with open toe heels?

I'll be attending a function at the end of this month, my aunt is launching a book. It will be held in a hotel in KL and the dressing code is smart, casual. I have already decided on wearing a LBD (Little black dress), knee-length of course and with it I intend to wear a 3" open toe high heel to show off my pedicured toes.. :-P but I do not want to expose my bare legs.. wanna slide into a nice pair of silky stocking/pantyhose. The problem is I don think stocking/pantyhose will go well with open toe high heels though, let alone peep toe shoes. It wont look attractive, in fact it will look odd...

So I seek some advice on this. If you have any recommendations on a particular item or website I should check out, please tell..

And Gentlemen.. I'm open to your opinion/advice too. So please feel free to comment.

A pair of sheer black should do the job nicely
Or a sheer nude would be great too...don't worry, pantyhose are great for open toe heels

Lilynn, it's quite pretty and sexy. where do u usually buy those? it's still not so popular in m'sia, if u wear those and walk around, ppl think u r in the 'service providing' sector. but no doubt they really can make u look more attractive if matched properly.






i love either super sheer or some nice fashion tights with various designs... most important is the quality of the hosiery.

Haha, yeah, it is so sad that people think that way.
Most guys I know, when they hear pantyhose ~ They already start thinking other things in their mind.
Some girls also think that wearing this will look like a easy girl ...

So its quite sad.
Because I do find them elegant if matched appropriately.
Like since the pantyhose is quite elegant and alluring, so wear appropriate attire and not some skimpy attire .

Definitely, if have the money to splurge, Silk hosieries are really nice.
I haven't tried one yet, but I heard it is super comfortable.

Dear Lilynn and Catherine ... i do agree to certain extend that wearing such alluring hosiery will make some to have negative thought. I can assure you that those are really from the old school!

For me, these clips are really stunning! Of course you will need a matching dress to go along otherwise you legs will definitely looks too extravaganza!

Yes definitely hosieries are lovely.
But I am not used to opaque leggings at all ... So I didn't get to indulge in hoseries much when I was at Malaysia.
I am having a short study course at UK ... So buying now cause later hard to get ...
Since I prefer seamed, low-denier ones.

Men definitely can wear them as well.

Any women who say hosieries/stockings are not meant for men should look at the history where men laughed at women for the thought of wearing pants.
It is something to be enjoyed by both sex.

i guessed so, dat u r in other countries. very rare to find ppl dat like hosiery. i oso bought mine in europe. altho the price is a bit high but quality is there. those sold in m'sia are uncomparable. most girls think hosiery is a waste of money. i think it's just a technic of mix & match, do it well and hosiery will help u. of cos there are other factors as well, like i think height is very important, those tall girls looks nicer in fancy hosiery, 2nd is leg shape, we have to match according to the shape of our legs. i believe there are no ugly women, onli lazy women. those supermodels may look like a normal girl if without the hairstyle, make up and nice dresses, just that they have a nice figure.
like u said in m'sia, it's really hard to indulge in hosiery, i do agree. due to the weather and culture. it really depends on where u are going. most girls prefer bare legs, but i think bare legs with blemishes and shapeless are an eye sore. they just follow their 'friends' and 'trends', neva thought if the 'look' suits them. luckily my legs are nice enough but i just like the look of various hosiery matched with various dresses.

P/S: u should try wolford if u have the chance and money. match it with a little black dress and u will feel sexy and classy which really help boosting self confidence.

Yes, when I first arrived at UK, I was shocked at the price range for hosiery. But then I gave it a try, and I felt the difference immediately.
Even those low denier wool leggings was warmer than my jeans :< ...
Must buy as much as I can before go back to Malaysia :3 ...

And yeah, the weather in Malaysia is quite humid, so can't blame if hosieries are not popular :< ...
Plus with the way most people think, might attract unwanted attention.

I do think that if a girl really prefers to be bared leg, even with blemishes they should be free to do so however.
And yes, you are extremely bless :3 to have nice legs :3 ...

I am not sure if the hosiery will suit me since I have average height, but just thought that matched with pumps, hopefully I will look just fine :3 ...

SowWorld's hosiery are mostly imported from China...i guess that explains everything regarding the quality

China They are selling it at rocker high price. If really from China I can get it MUCH cheaper in pasar malam

Wearing leggings is part of the fashion in western country. I like leggings too BUT I Love tights more. It's looked so fashionable!!
In Japan, some of the girls even wear net socks.
During winter, I never want to wear long pants but short pants with thicker tights^^
I miss the fashion in Tokyo =)
