i use UOX since 2007.. (at that time, UOX known as Xpax University).. so far after one year using it, no charge at all..

My porting succeeded. My Hotlink line was cut off before the sms to inform me to change sim card arrive, so it only arrive after I've changed the sim card.

The validity is until a month after now. I've notice many have complaint previously on the validity issue. If I'm not mistaken, I should wait a little for things to update. Or things are not right if the validity is not right at the first place?

Added on November 4, 2008, 12:06 amMy validity just got updated just now. It's up to my 26th birthday even I'm on S.O.X instead of U.O.X, but that's a good thing.

i tried calling 03-36308888 to ask but all i got was "we're sorry, this number is no longer available"
and if i port to SOX and back to maxis..
would i be able to port back to SOX again?

owh no... i just went to menara celcom help my sister port from maxis to uox and i've ask staff there and he said definitely u cant port normal xpax to uox

Yup, Celcom branch. Port on Tuesday, line activate on Saturday, validity updated on the following Monday night

What's UOX/SOX charging block by the way? Is it 20 or 30 seconds? I'm charged 8 cents for a 14 seconds call.

30sec-block. Me also kena chardged 8cents for less than half a minute call, it should be 7.5sen right? But it's not a big problem for me.

I guess the charging block for UOX/SOX is as follow:

First 30 seconds: 8 cents
Second 30 seconds: 7 cents
Subsequent 20 seconds: 5 cents

This is concluded after I'm being charged 8cents for a 14 seconds call, 15cents for a 52 seconds call and 23cents for a 1.04 minute call.

wrong maths dude.

They will just round up the 0.5 sen to the nearest sen. If you call within a 30s block, you will be charged 7.5 sen, but rounded up to 8.0 sen. If 60 s block will be 15 sen.

your case of 1.04 min is considered 90 second block ... so celcom will charge you 22.5 sen.. but rounded up to 23 sen...

ermm too bad.. i wonder if they'll ever allow normal xpax port to oux later on....

what if i port my normal xpax to hotlink first and then i port it to oux?
