i think there are some cases where people can cheat on IC copy.. for example, we can find lot of people selling UOX on the internet.. what they asked just scan the IC and send to them via email.. some people will extra skill may edit the IC by changing the year of birth using photoshop.. very easy lar..

even their dealer also cannot be trusted..

so that is why celcom need to verify IC at their branches..

QUOTE(sjz @ Oct 27 2008, 05:41 PM)
But the only catch for UOX is:
The 8Pax must be UOX/SOX number, NOT CELCOM NUMBER like usual 8Pax.
So nowadays very less UOX user what, so don't have 8Pax number.. smile.gif

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Oct 27 2008, 07:25 PM)
Even though very little of my friends are using UOX, it's still cheaper than others.
*
yeah, i dont mind about 8pax with UOX.. i think after Celcom implement rm3 special fee for 8pax (if they implement it in the future) i will simply choose not to subsribe it since normal rates (non-8pax) are already cheap..

so wat happened after 25 then??we need to change our number by our own or they will automatically do it for us?
you dont have to do anything.. celcom will automatically convert your plan to normal xpax plan.. its up to you on that time wether to migrate to celcom postpaid, celcom blue, or port to other telco..

Like once in 2 or 3 weeks. I can assure you it's much more lesser than hotlink!

well, it depends.. if celcom got new promotion they may sending u spam sms... and also it depends on what plan u use.. for example, during one fasting month i receive one sms each day promoting their hari raya contest.. but i only received it on my postpaid number, not UOX.

she knows but don know the validity for uox is until  her 26th birthday.......................
that's why she extend the validity period for 2 years.....
but when i press *124#, uox bla bla bla is stated there....
that means her uox is still active????? ohmy.gif
*
try to make call to any number.. it the charge is 45sen/min then it is BLUE, otherwise if its 15sen/min it is still on UOX plan.. but logically, if UOX plan appear when u check your balance it mean it currently under UOX plan.

as i said earlier, they need to verify your IC, school, etc.. sending a copy of IC is still not enough since with today's technology people can simply change the year of birth... that is why new UOX number not automatically enjoy expiry date untill on 26th birthday..

the best solution is to spend some time, visit them at their branches.. so their staff may verify your IC, school, etc.. (this is because they don't trust their dealer lol)..

by the way, so jelous with some of our junior that enjoy expiry date up to 2022.. wow.. mine 2012 only.. sweat.gif

QUOTE(chicaman @ Nov 16 2008, 03:40 PM)
Its not only that factor, he is just giving an example. It relies on many factor. Sometimes they introduce a plan just to bait people to join them, after they had enough people, they will change plan.

One of the most famous telco who like to do that is DiGi. Look at MTV powerpack, Fuuyoh, etc. They have been changing plan every year.

Celcom did it as well. The very very first time celcom introduced 3 different plan for prepaid (i forgot already and it was like 5 years ago) and they keep changing different plan.

So in future UOX might just change to some other plan smile.gif
*
its a Xplore, Xceed, and Xcel, then they change it to Xpax.. then after that they introduce Xpax-U, then rename it to UOX and add new plan called SOX, and the latest one is BLUE prepaid..

by the way, they still can charge us rm3/month access fee, and another rm3/month for 8pax fee at anytime if they think they can't survive with UOX/SOX anymore.. they targeting one milion uox/sox users by year end..

hi , can i transfer my current credit(Xpax) to the new U.O.X number if i get a new one ?

2. Is the New started pack (U.O.X) comes in 3G or non-3G ?
*
you can transfer your credit using Airtime Share (min rm1, max rm25)

default UOX simcard is non-3G, you have to ask for it.

Fastest way is to set *124# as your speed dial.
Mine is 3G without asking. Depends who you are dealing with perhaps?
Maybe now all new simcard come with 3G ready. But before this not.

by the way, about checking prepaid balance.. there're lot of way to check it

- type BAL and send to 2888
- type BAL and send to 2889
- call 1990
- dial *118# (for Xpax, SOX/UOX users) or *119# (for Blue users) or *162# (for Sukses users)
- dial *111#
- dial *124# (direct request - the most fastest and popular way)
- online check @ http://wsc.celcom.com.my

all method is Free Of Charge.. if one system down, try other system lol thumbup.gif

when will existing xpax users can swap to uox?
*
well, we can always hope.. but dont hope too much.. we see that xpax and blue prepaid is main profit source for celcom while UOX is just some charity plan for students. they dont mind to attract users for other telco to join them wether UOX or xpax/blue as long as become they customer. because at least can increase their market share.

but to offer their current user with damn cheapest prepaid on the planet? i dont think so..

i know the CEO (datuk shazaly) try to break the records for increasing revenue for last 10 consequent quarter. Eventhough all telcos celcom/digi/maxis reporting profit every year, but maxis/digi revenue growth has decline in some quarter. So far celcom is the only operator in malaysia with last 9th quarter with no decrease in revenue growth.

i think it is not fair to burn the network and operating cost only to normal xpax users while uox users enjoy the benefits of having the widest and fastest network. but what can we do. sweat.gif

Can anyone let me know if u have done ur porting at any Blue Cube?

Apply by everyone? Blue Cube girl already verify my GF's IC. What else do Celcom want? And why all of a sudden when you come again to their Centre for 2nd time after a month of so, they can magically activate it with out any delay? Please answer that.
*
they dont trust their dealer.. blue cube girl is not their staff lol..

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Nov 28 2008, 12:46 AM)
I personally think that this plan is better than postpaid, just 3 points to make them win,
1. 15sen/min call rate(UOX)  VS  10-15sen/min(postpaid)
2. 6sen per sms to anyone!! Can you find this rate in postpaid (exclude those family plans that hv free sms)?
3. Most cheapest line to maintain! Or I could say RM10(it is preloaded with 15sen only) to maintain it for a few years(for me la).
*
not to forget about comitment fee.. the most dificult part on postpaid is minimum comitment fee, must use at least rm50/month..

QUOTE(Spade @ Nov 28 2008, 01:31 AM)
Exactly! Which is amount to RM240/Month for UOX. That's INSANE if you compare to DiGi RM30/Month.
*
as i said earlier, rm8/day If you use the Internet occasionally.. dont subsribe it if you dont need internet on that day, but if you need it every day then you should subsribe monthly unlimited at rm68/month..

for example, you have streamyx at your home, so no problem to access internet at your home. but this wekend you're going to your relatives house for two days.. and if you need internet, then just request daily unlimited rm8 this wekend.. so you still can surf internet at your relative house.. thats all.. (just an example).. it might usefull during holidays or travelling also (with Celcom widest 3G coverage)..

i dont think any celcom branches near LRT station. however you may use putra lrt (kelana jaya line), go to klcc.. then you have to walk a little bit to Jalan Ampang Celcom Branch.. (not far from Avenue K)
