it seems like i can play crysis for quite long..

my GC shouldnt have any problems then. but nowadays i have exams and i dont have time to stress out my GC. I suffered blackout once but unsure what is the problem.

netraid the 1 to 1 replacement is until when? I scared after exams i play alot of games and blackout keep occuring.

Unfortunately after an amount of efforts i put on it, Crysis still won't start.. I really don't know what's the real prob.. After entire blackout then it got better by blackout for a moment then back 2 desktop.. GC i think got no prob coz i can run furmark for half an hour with 4x AA.. Could be DX10 issue but i've already installed the very latest one.. Clean install of Catalyst 8.9 driver also done.. Then why it won't start?

Probably software problem, well most likely if you could play other DirectX games but not Crysis.

finally get my 4870gs working on both modes .. da xp is causing the black screen during restart ... so far work fine on vista ... nice card.. ... and nice girls ..

just a side note, crysis is madness, even dual cards still wont perform to max. Requirements for crysis is just madness. Also, have you tried googling a fix for vista-32 or common issues? because i just did a quick google, and found lots of users having issues with it and same symptoms. It could be lots of reasons why, DX10, some vid settings, catalyst versions, Cracked .exe, PSU, and the worst, faulty GC.

Try checking windows event viewer to see what's the problem with it. Is it having errors with .exe DX10 or .exe DX 9?

Could be lots of reasons.

edit O/T******* Try mercenaries 2 On PC with 4870! its just madness !, but if you set water details and water effects on high, it will LAG, no its not my RAM, im on 64bit vista 4Gig ram.

i recommend you to try mercenaries if you want to see what your card can do

I also have some issue playing crysis. It seems like its not working with Vista 32/64. double the crysis icon, black screen-> pc autoreboot. Ive tried using both version of vista, upgraded CCC/hotfix/others related software but still no luck. To play crysis, i need to use XP.. luckily i have dual boot vista 64 and xp 64. Already sent this report to gainward in germany, replied once (they will investigate).. still waiting for their next answer .... however this card is rockk...

I dual boot Vista 64 and XP. Haven't tried Crysis 64bit on it since my ahem ahem version only 32bit... But Warhead gonna complete in a while Gonna try running it on 64bit Vista and will report here soon.

Though I noticed that I get lower FPS for online games such as EVE-Online in Vista 64bit compared to XP 32bit =/ Vista not too good in emulating 32bit games I suppose?

hmm, should b alright..usually restarts may be cause by hot gpu card...might b some other factor also..wat casing r u using anyway? does it have decent airflow?

already tweaked the fan by 65%... if its really the casing, why it doesnt restart when i'm using XP... before, i'm using 7600gt with same specs, and its worked. no autoboot..

4850 is a very hot GPU. I wouldn't be surprise if it crash despite using custom cooler.

Damn, blackscreen did happen when I played Warhead. ._.

What he meant was he was able to play under XP with the same config but not Vista under the same config. Don't tell me his airflow is better with XP than Vista isn't it?

i dont think os got to do with airflow though..

can u guys give me whether tu buy 4850gs or 4870 gs..
