Bout the fan speed, I just noticed you saying 1 rpm. How many wires from the fan to the board? 3/4? Some fans cannot be detected for the speed though.. the 3 wires ones I think.

i'll retry playing at very high setting again...
btw, last nite when i play...suddenly my screen got blackout and then my PC restarted...i don't know if it's due to my system temperature high causing it to crash and then restart...

i hope it's not the card issue... cause i read somewhere before got kena black screen issue?

Added on October 18, 2008, 9:17 ammy 3dmark06 benchmark result...not really that good compare to other 4870 out there... guys, what do you think is my system's limitation right now? is my card got problem causing low benchmark result or it's because of my settings?

Weird, why is your 4870GS scoring so low? Shouldn't be a processor bottleneck, and it scores lower than my E8400 + 4850GS @@. What interface are you running on? x16 pci-e?

EDIT : I just noticed.. you changed the resolution and stuffs? run using the stock setting.

err... gaming benchmark a bit hard to standardize unless the game has inbuilt benchmarking feature.

3dmark06 or vantage is the best.

4850GS uses 2 or 3 watts more than reference card only. Tweaktown's review on 4850GS did this comparison smile.gif.

could 4850gs handle 1920x1080 well in games?
*
It will probably struggle at maximum settings for a lot of games. 4850 is meant for the 22" resolution.

Uh... maybe your sensor got messed up. When I run CPU stressing program on my PC, sometime the temperatures gets messed up. -60 min and 100+ max lol.

Well I'm sure nujo knows that the higher the operating temperature, the shorter the life time isn't it? wink.gif

Ya cant deny extreme high temp is no good for the whole board,Y?

because on the board there r many other discrete component capacitors, fan controller.

But for chips on board(core chip, memory chip etc the high temp i think should post no risk la tongue.gif )
*
Hmm, do you have access to an IR gun or something? Cause I recalled some website did use it, and found out that the board was close to 100C or so. (Reference card). Those parts all aren't detected by the sensors.

^ Next week I hope and hopefully everything turns out well.
The urge to do abit of FIFA09 is building quite quick.. and I've already finished Season 1 of Big Bang Theory. May start on Family Guy next.

Added on October 20, 2008, 2:48 amOn second thought, i better do some outdoor stuff. Waiting for a GC sure proves to be suffering.

I understand.. I 1 week no GC already very frustrating, especially when you need to use a slower comp because of it >.<.

Those models are from Taiwan, doesn't look Japanese IMO.

Faulty card problem is commonly detected by having blackscreen when playing games. How old is yours exactly? The first batch?

Blackscreen in Crysis is hard to detect. There is an ingame built in feature when you get hit hard your characters gets shocked and thus "black out" a bit.

But hey, if Furmark does generate blackscreens, then it might be one of the faulty ones.

Ouch, so 1-1 exchange or you need to wait for the RMA?
