Yes, cause the 45nm release lesser heat thus don't need that type of heatsink. Then again, the stock is really -.-

Light OC to 3.6GHz, but... the GPU score lower than before doh.gif

[attachmentid=632769]

Max temp for running the CPU 58/56. Not as high as I expected. Was 72/72 when I ran the IntelBurnTest ._.

LOL, something weird. I decided to bench on 3Dmark06.

My processor actually bottlenecking the card at stock 3.0?

This is 3.0GHz stock.

This is 3.6GHz OC.

SM3.0 score increased!

8tvt, 3.6 -> 4.0 is going to take a lot of vcore more I think. I haven't tried though. Waiting for CCF to arrive first.

Aiya, real world performance is hard to compare. I play crysis avg this this that that. The other guy maybe playing in another level or map, starts saying oh my avg is this and that.

Something standard like this is easier smile.gif.

how come u guys punya 4850 like lose to my 4870 by a bit only ?
dang...

Cause you're not using your Turbo mode?

4850 and 4870 are both the same RV770. Just different clock speed and memory bandwidth. (DDR5 and DDR3 really huge difference.)

I didn't use furmark, crashed in 3dmark06 lol. driver hang ._. didn't see get the temp because the system restarted.

at stock speed, 40c/58c (loaded with furmark for 20minutes).

not sure how much at oc... later then oc... a little irritated because whenever my system restarts from a crash due to gc hang, it goes a little haywire. CCC doesn't work, sound driver stucks as well. Until i repair the installation of ccc then everything will work properly on the next reboot.

I don't know how to view inside the BIOS, but at CPUID Hardware Monitor, it shows 1.05v min (idle?) and 1.12v max (load I suppose? Just ran furmark a while just now)

Just curious, what PSU are you using?

Try playing again and see if it occurs or not. Is this the first time or you've encountered this before?

I'm using vantec 450w truepower. I also suspecting my PSU not enuff juice. But is it the symptom will be like this if my PSU not enuff power?
*
Err, that PSU. Peak load = 450W efficiency is 72% - 78%, meaning about 324Watt continuous? (Meh I hate to see PSU ratings dry.gif, all manufacturer some put their true power some put peak -.-)

But I think it might be the PSU though.

Err, I recalled someone saying he could run 4850GS on Warhead/Crysis on the highest settings?

Stock clocked or OC-ed? Mine is struggling on 1280x1024 , barely hitting 25fps. AF/AA off.
