Hard to drop lah. The price of 4850GS and normal 4850 still holding very steady unless Nvidia give some competition else no point for ATI to drop the price.

Attention to all potential buyers of Gainward,

After holding on for a month, we have no choice but to increase prices due to the high exchange rate for USD. Mostly likely price will increase on the first week of November. Please don't worry, it will be minimal increase. We will reduce price once the USD drop again (hopefully).

Please buy your Gainward cards (or any IT stuffs) asap. We still have dealers with old stocks.

Thank you very much for considering Gainward.

PS. This price increase will also affect all products that Scanart distribute.

Bad news for those who still don't have a 48x0GS but good news for those who already have it since our investment is more worth it.

No offence smile.gif

Your 4850 GS has silver (nickel plated) or golden (copper) heatpipes? Please run 3DMark06 and see if it hangs?

If golden heatpipes and it hangs, please PM us and tell us who you bought it from? You might be having a first batch card. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

@ 8tvt,
First batch had faults; artifacts and game crashes.
The second batch is the more refined version of the first, more stable, more cooler than the first, and I would claim that so far everyone that have the 2nd batch have experienced lesser or maybe nil faults. Correct me if I'm wrong tongue.gif

i would assume some explanation regarding the chip/ram used or maybe lack of voltage supplied or maybe the heatsink itself is the culprit..

maybe NetRaid can elaborate more on that instead saying just got some problem on earliest batch..

mine is 2nd revision.. so far so good..
idle temp 45C
load temp 55C (60C sometimes)

Yes second batch is way better.

My old one: Idle 52C Load 80C
New one: Idle 32C Load 60C

And no artifacts anymore. I wonder how much Gainward will improve for the 3rd batch.
