Ok. Now the cyanide topic has got way out of hand that most of us do not realize that the lab report also states the calcium & phosphorus ratio is unhealhty too.

Now can anyone explain that?

I still think the sample is contaminated. If we all know Hun, she is incredibly passionate about gliders. She won't be that careless to blend apple seeds in.

So then comes my other question. Does anyone know how much seeds it takes to produce 0.22ppm? It is a small amount but I want to know.

Plus hazzy is now feeding his gliders with smoothie. I'm not pointing fingers but the sudden need to send slurp for testing a a little strange.

But yes, sure, we don't know if a seed accidentally drop in THAT particular slurp. But we also don't know if the sample is contaminated.

So, Hazzy posted the report, the remaindings of the statements are from HIM, NOT THE LABORATORY.

The CYANIDE PPM is 0.22

PLEASE take note the measurement, it is PPM (NOT mg, not any other measurement) and it is 0.22.

So, any of you here know what does this indicates? Who pass you the knowledge of the PPM is POISONOUS or even harmful?

Do you guys know that very small amounts of cyanide, in the form of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), are a necessary part of the human diet?

Humans can be exposed to cyanide from environmental, occupational, and consumer product sources. The single largest source of cyanide in air is from vehicle exhaust. Other sources of release to the air may include emissions from chemical processing industries, steel and iron industries, metallurgical industries, metal plating and finishing industries, and petroleum refineries. Cyanides may also be released from public waste incinerators, from waste disposed of in landfills, and during the use of cyanide-containing pesticides. When certain types of plastics, silk, wool, and paper are burned, cyanides are released. People who smoke tobacco take in larger amounts of cyanide than nonsmokers.

It simply means that, CYANIDE exist almost anywhere. PPM 0.22 might not even be harmful enough to kill an ant. A PPM 0.22 of CYANIDE might be analysed in anything if a smoker handled the product previously, if the product is not open up in very secured, closed, superbly clean place, or simply being exposed at anywhere which had CYANIDE. You might open up something without CYANIDE and bring it to analyse and there is some in it. We simply can't just say ALL SLURPS contains CYANIDE just because one of it being examined without even the maker present contains such a mini-mini-minimal lebel of CYANIDE. If you say out of 10 slurps, 9 contains very high level of cyanide, then it sounds more convinving. PPM 0.22 and make it a big issue? It is plain "Searching for chick bone in an egg" (Yah, put it at your signature!)

Deaths in animals have been reported at exposure levels ranging from 20 ppm for 4.5 hours to 503 ppm for 5 minutes. Heart effects in rats have been reported following exposure at 200 ppm for 12.5 minutes.

The PPM found in SLURP, is a mere 0.22, which means it might not even signigicant enough to do any harm, AND it might not be convinving enough to prove that a bottle of PURE 500ML SLURPS contains cyanide when it is packed originally. It might simply due to the exposure, just like if you open up anything, and send it for an analysis, you can also find a non signigicant amount of cyanide in it.

A question to Hazzy. What are you feeding your suggie now? Are you sending it to lab and comparing the level of PPM in it? It should be your priority if you REALLY REALLY concern about your SG health but not BAD NAMING others. And whoever concerns about their SGs, why not you send the food you currently feeding to the lab? It might contains HIGHER number of PPM or worst a significant amount. But most probably, it will be mere less than 1% cause I believe another brand is made for the love of the SGs as well.

I understand that competitions exists, but there must be a fair play. Hun is just merely a student who loves pets, who discovered a products which she deemed as a proper diet for SGs. Shame on those who treating a student like that, especially those working adults. I'm starting to look down on you guys. Imagine one day if your younger sis or bros, or even kids being treated at such a way.

Oh ya, Hazzy, is Hun there when you send over the SLURP? If you want to convince people, go get an original, un-open one, with Hun's present, bringing one you currently feeding along, to the lab and test it out. IF YOU REALLY CARE FOR SG, you will do that dont you?

erm.. be a neutral party here ,coz my glider is also taking this slurp and if its bad definitely i wanna stop . However , same here if it is NOT like wat people acusing here then it is not just unfair to the maker but its a loss to my glider also.

Maybe we shall have another report before we are pointing people purely based on feel n facts that has unknown resource . Sorry not to say the report is not genuine , just that firstly i duno what is the intention of the people that posting up the report and what is the intention when it was sent to the lab.

PS: no offense on any party , but think wise and act wise .

I have an uncle was working in lab n testing industrial for more than 10 years . Will get his help on this , else we can always send to UPM for testing However , before that . Hope that we can stop pointing each other and hurting people by typing.

If anyone has glider that died coz of the slurp ( with vet's report , like kena poison or wat so ever ) . U can share it out , else stop add oil add fire here.
