i might come off as a snob here but hey, so be it. but since you're googling, google up the IELTS site as well.
but since you've already opened up 20+ tabs and cant bother opening up another one, let me just say that in IELTS, there's comprehension, listening, writing and speaking modules. i dont know if MUET is accepted but IELTS is generally used to determine your competency in English for entry into unis here. how hard or easy it is for you i don't know. different people different levels of difficulty.

i blame it on the education system. with this attitude don't expect to survive long in Aus if you expect to be spoonfed everything
the thing is, IELTS is just like any other English exam. just do whatever you do to prepare for your previous English exams.
Oh I wasn't waiting to be spoonfed. I googled about it already. Just that, just now I was replying while I was still searching halfway.
Some of my college friends say MUET is accepted. Some say cant.....will call to inquire more tmr.
Anyways one question.
I would be taking the:
Listening
Academic Reading
Academic Writing
Speaking
Right?
And my minimum score would be?

I'm with you on that. It puzzles me why people can't do a simple google search before asking questions. In fact, posting on a forum takes more effort than googling.
I google. Open lots of tabs. Reply while waiting for the pages to load. Then only view the pages. Sorry if I offended you by posting before googling.

I would say consider University of New South Wales,if you are going to Sydney. They are better in engineering than U Syd and they offer wider options for engineering courses.
But the JPA list of accepted universities in australia for scholarship my friend sms-ed me was:
ANU
Uni Of Melbourne
Uni Of Sydney
Uni Of Queensland
Hmmm.....must call jpa to inquire also....

Although STPM is way harder than A-level, the entry requirements for engineering using STPM will be higher than A-level.
For higher ranked uni in Aus, an aggregate point of 3.33 or around B+B+B+ should be sufficient to enter.
Actually you will find out that first year maths in engineering course will be pretty easy as you learnt most of them in STPM. Year 12 in Australia only cover basic stuff.
What? STPM needs higher requirements......why........
