is it safe enough for single lady traveler to go there without driver or tour guide? at first the trip should be 4 of us, now only left me alone. really upset when people fail to plan properly their vacation.TQ

Should be okay. Just need to be extra careful with local people and keep your handbag/bag safe especially when you go to the famous Pasar Baru. They can recognise Malaysian (by our appearance) and like to follow and force us to buy theirs.

When are u going?

Pasar baru or rumah mode, which is better?  hmm.gif

For u ahhh? Rumah Mode I think. U can get rejected branded stuffs at cheap price

Have u been to GM Klang? Pasar Baru is more less similar like GM Klang. Its heaven for ladies. All kind of fabrics, shawls, bedsheets, shirts yadda yadda.

Mine will be on Sept. Should be okay. Dont worry. There'll be a lot of Msian especially makcik makcik shopping like crazy at Pasar Baru. If u r too afraid to go alone but still wanna go there, u can do like what my fren did: she simply asked any Malaysian on the same plane to join their group. So she saved money on supir (private driver) and made new fren. Good luck

Managed to rent a scooter for a day (100k, not cheap but using public transport is slower and can be more expensive).  Rode to soreang,  ciwidey and mt patuha (kawah putih)..  Very scenic

Riding in bandung wasn't as bad as i thought,  had to motoweave a lot laugh.gif

Angkot hopping wasn't as hard as I thought,  once i got used to it,  it was soo fun thumbup.gif
Went to braga, cihampelas,  pasar baru and rumah mode biggrin.gif

Ride a scooter in bandung? Champion! How's your ride? Easy? Was it hard/difficult to find way to the destinations? And lastly, where did u stayed?

Ok lor,  just have to be more 'aggressive', every part of the road is my domain, from middle line to even the pedestrian path tongue.gif

Not at all, some places are pretty straightforward to get there,  i used gps for some places like cihampelas walk and cicaheum (went to buy bus ticket)

Stayed in Hunny Hostel,  paskal food market is just 5 minutes away. Angkots pass by here very often, so it's easy for me to get around

Planning to go to Bandung in Sept for 4D3N.

Also plan to buy the flight + hotel package. Any recommendations ?

How do they charge for a driver for a day?
*
went there last year. took a private driver to kawah putih and tour around the city. They charged us 450k Rp per day (need to add extra 50k Rp for kawah putih). It was form DOM rental company. The driver are mostly young man
