Sorry for the slow reply - been up to something else for awhile - ummm - culled quite a few adi, not that many left any more, something like half a dozen males and females each

Guys, been looking for those Giant Betta's and not many pet shops carry them. And when I do find, they are selling it at RM50 each. Is it a worth buy? or you recommend otherwise? these RM50 the size is around 2 inches long from mouth to end of tail.

rm50 is overkill... and its not about size... must see nice or not mar...

You also feel that it is overkilling right? That's why hoping can get some advise here lo. Totally agree about the color and the condition of the betta that should determine the price of the fish.

My Betta fish died on some kind fungus (He was all white). I have a plastic tank, gravel, and a plastic plant. How can I disinfect everything? I would like to use the tank again for another Betta and want to be sure there is no trace of the fungus.

U got use the fan or not. I don't know what it call but it can help to clean ur tank 24 hours by sucking some "shit" from the fish.

or you can get one of those fishes that eats the fungus. The one that always sticks to the wall. I used those and i only clean the tank every weeks or a month.. well u still have to clean the tank...

Giants in the betta world is all about size. colour and finnage are usually ignored or takes a back seat. a 2 incher cannot be considered a giant.

RM50 is consider cheap.. some giant can reach RM100 if i really big enuf...

i think most quality giants won't come that cheaply...

Betta is a relatively easy fish to rear IMO. Just make sure you stand the water for at least a week before putting in fish. Normally I would just clean it with normal tap water and let them dry. How big is our tank? IMO Betta don't need any filtration system.

Hey,
A few months ago i had a crown tail betta called Apollo but he passed away.
I bought him at a local petstore because i saw him cramped up in bowls, and since i couldnt save all i tried saving one.
I dont know how old he was but he was doing pretty good in a 5 gallon tank and had a pretty stable diet.
I really want to try and raise another betta, but this time know the age.

'Blackfuzzy', since you're breeding and will end up with many bettas, could you possibly sell one to me?
I'll take really good care of the betta.

you can get giants at Irene Aquarium in seapark.
The size is 2.5 inches and above.
Price also very cheap.
It's displayed at the front counter once you walk in the shop.
If you don't see it there, just ask them whether got stock.
If no stock, ask when the new shipment coming in.

rm85? for platinum/opaque (white) betta? from where? hopefully it meets the show-grade criteria because you bought it at a very high price...

Really depends on what you're looking for - there are just so many types . Join us at Jinjang foodcourt this Saturday if you can make it - odds are you'll find something for yourself.

that is a lot of penang breeder there.. u can look for them... and a nice female normally dun come with a cheap price.. and if u have a nice female.. u must make sure u have a nice male too.. if not, wasted ur efforts on bringing up those fries.. just my humble opinion...

and if u can't find any breeders over there... can pm me wat kind of bettas are u looking for... i do have some for sale...

erm... for a short tail... i assume it is a HMPK.... price at RM85 is quite high...
may i know where u buy them from...
a HMPK price is normally fall around RM10-RM50.. So, if u are having a RM85 hmpk.. it shud be a show grade piece.... with nice deportment, sharp D-caudal, extended dorsal, clean colour and so on...
