one question. maybe me caveman but the unit will play games from which region? Japanese (like the official ps2), American (like the official Wii) or Asian (like the 360)?
or are ps3 games region free?

What most people neglect to notice that officially launch product would not only entails for warranty but also repair. Imagined after 1 year lapsed, your drive kaputs. You're out of warranty but you still can go back to Sony Malaysia and asked it to be repaired ( chargeable of course).

You cant do it with parallel imports. It's been this way with the PS2 and the PSP.

so that mean even if i got the sg set of ps3 then i can send it to repair right but i will be charge right?? correct me plz...

This question i think should ask Sony on that day.

you are right on that. i can't help to mention this again on why ppl would continue to make direct price comparison.

It is a blessing PS3 is now brought in to Malaysia.. not only does this guarantee us of getting an authentic PS3 (worry free from opened boxes or replaced lens.. etc), it will also ensure our unit is guaranteed repairable by sony (as stated above) and also enabling sony to carry PS3 games in their store as well.

to those guys who wanted to get PS3 but was lazy to go and look for one, sony can now ship it to your doorstep via sonystyle..

If the event start on Friday (24 hour game marathon). I will be there too to ask them all the question.

Sony is not going to give away their NEW game Resistance 2 which is coming out on November, for free to you. They are giving away the first Resistance game that came out in 2006 when the PS3 was launched in USA.

Thats actually a pretty darn good deal. Check out the condition of his PS3 first, if everything is fine I don't see why you shouldn't get it.
