omg.. when is the sony going to have their website updated with this news...

even in the events page is not listed and not to mention ... no PS3 word even onthe sonystyle website.

i am hoping they would at least list out the games that is selectable during the launch event..

hopefully they have mgs4, disgaea..

sony is real slow in getting their so called "market" direction up and news propagated.

At least shows a ps3 image in the website and the event date mahh.. haiyyooo.

for all we know.. we might be seeing nothing on their website even on the launch date itself..

this is intense... anyway i don't favour soul calibur anyway but i do hope they still keep the bundle attractive.. if they remove the game and maintain the 1699 price.. its no longer a good deal..

also they didn't state what are the selectable games? for all we know.. it could be 1699 with crappy game or might as well put it 1699 for just the console.

well lets put it this way. if they give unresonable price or bundle. let just boycott them on the launch day? fair enough?

lets not make any conclusions yet. afterall sony has never officially mentioned any deals or bundles. They also never replied that to our email queries.

I am still waiting for their website update... most important of all console price and... what games are available for our selection...

so this 80GB ps3 actually doesn't have Backward Compatibility right ? and doesn't have DS3.

i find the games selection quite dissappointing ...

i am not interested in any of them... resistance & ratchet is now a best buy.. RM120 can get..

assassin's creed u know.. can get it *ahem* for PC.

so.... 1800 just a PS3 for 80GB hard disk?

did sony know that we can get RM12xx from parallel imports and upgrade to 160Gb harrddisk.. it only cost us RM14xx ? with the extra RM400 we could use that to get ANY 2 games we want.. eg, MGS, uncharted, Disgaea or reserve for future fallout, star wars, valky chronicles.

Could we confirm if its the PS3 with PS2 backward compatibility or not ? if the one that comes with backward compatibility.. that one doesn't have DS3 if i am not mistaken,

but if its the new 80GB with not BC and they purposely take out DS3, it'll be damn sad.

I don't know why Sony in Malaysia would want to focus so much on raising the price, etc. I can understand from a businessman point of view.. they want to earn money.

As with the initial launch of Sony Ps3 2 years ago, the console itself is making loss, they earn by selling the games. The thing is.. like most consoles, they get the console into the hands of the gamers first before u can start getting money back from them...

Now.. if sony worry so much of instant gain of $$$ at the first launch in malaysia by raising the price so high.. how are they able to get us to buy a PS3?... Please give us a resonable pricing and bring in more games for us if you really want to look at this deal.

Ppl now starts to see light shining away there to support anti-piracy.. i initially thought PS3 would be lead finally in bringing malaysian away from console games piracy. Seems to me now Sony is not helping in anyway. They only care about quick money.

lets scrap off the idea of localization... its not going to happen.. and yeah jehutyz says it right... its becoming pretty annoying and off topic.

Sony isn't going to change for us.. malaysians. because we are a tiny ant in the console market.

They are only thinking of the best way to get maximum earnings from us while utilizing the thing they have without making further changes or incurring more costs.

can start a new thread called "PS3 Games Malaysia Localization" if we wanna talk about localization.

well you guys can start queue up anytime now if you want.. i bet those who willing to camp overnight will get 1st place lol

Well your points clicks for that matter... the offer based on RM1799 and the bad selection of games (they are mostly ps3 best items which u can get cheaper straight from play-asia) will turn a lot of people down. But i think the greatest set back is.. most ppl in town already have a PS3. Not to mention though.. how many ppl will actually be interested with a SC4 bundle.. i might think.. if they bundle with MGS4.. then that will reallly make a difference.

Many ppl thought of getting a PS3 just because they wanted to get a hands on MGS4. (for those who never played it b4). think about it...

RM1799 + 180/200 (MGS4) ... its like chunking RM2k just for an average person to get hold of that game..

I think the range of customers on the launch would mostly comes from

1. ppl who waiting for this launch to get a ps3 like me
2. ppl who already have xbox 360.. and thinking of getting a ps3 as well.
3. ppl looking for a blu-ray player (this should be in the minority because... blue rays dics aren't cheap)

oh yeah... psp can't be used to compare with this. we can't mod ps3 YET. or.. blu-rays still isn't as cheap as DVD

they should do the competition with MGO, everyone competing on it.

and then bundle the PS3 with MGS4 instead.

i don't know why you guys still arguing bout SC4 competition and etc. Problem is sony DIDN'T even officially announced it or even put up ANYTHING on their website.

you guys can start killing each other once there is an announcement.

for me.. i only look forward to the official announcement and its updates. thats the only reason why I am reading this thread now.


unfortunately up until this minute.. which is just 10 days away from the speculated launch date.. still no news....making everyone feeling intense

I am not talking if there is a launch or not. Everyone knows there will be launch. There isn't ANYTHING on that website stating whats the bundle, how it will be released, venue.. no information at all on the PS3 launch stuff. For all we know, they could come up with a new website again with different game in the compeition and different bundle or there will be no game compeition at all.

That website is old news and i already know about the launch before that website. If you study the history of that website, it was brought up and linked to sonystyle, then later because we were needed to wait for japan official announcement as stated by ruff, the link was cut and only this web is remaining.

I am merely to point Sony is coming short of making any good announcements and they keep on holding back. That website serves no purpose thats all.
