QUOTE(cdlim87 @ Nov 19 2008, 02:58 AM) bro TS, as for CCF user : hmm....this one i not so sure.... cause iirc the screenie for that result is gone liao... cos it was taken from the old thread b4 the creation of this thread.... n the old thread was deleted so the screenie gone together cos of that i guess IBT should be heavy loaded test, his temp get far away beter thn other.... edit: C2D E8500 is a heat frendly proc? the air flow inside casing vy good? but seriously speaking.... from my own try of e8400 with 1.23v @ 4ghz on ibt is around 45-50c with lapped s1283 |

Mmmmmm, maybe cause of my setup?
I can't mount it to face the exhaust had to face top instead. Though I have 2x 14cm fans on top to act as exhaust as well, and a 14cm bringing in fresh air from the side for the CCF. I didn't see much temp drops when opening the case anyways. Great ._. How come my CCF alienated a bit from the rest lol. PS. The heatsink isn't exactly warm when my temperature was showing 60C+ though... I touched it and it seems quite cool =/. Bad heat transfer from base? QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 20 2008, 04:20 PM) Hmm, mine doesn't feel anything close to warm at all le. Even when the processor is reading 60C or so. Faulty heatpipes? ._. probably not enuf heat yet to feel the 'hot' temp. u see here. when ur proc heats up the heatpipe, the heat travels from CCF base going upward while spreading the heat through the fins. during the journey, ur fan will cool it down constantly since CCF fan quite high RPM compare to my S1283 fan which is max 1400rpm+ only.I assume u touch the top of ur heatsink, if wan feel warm or not, touch the most bottom fin. Ground urself first before touching to avoid 'unwanted consequences' |

My GC's heatpipes were much hotter despite being at around 40C, or maybe the shorter + smaller amount of heatpipe on my GC I suppose)... had to squeeze my hands through.QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Nov 20 2008, 05:22 PM) That what i said, temperature sensor variation between chip is huge so t delta is much better comparsion delta between idle and load temp? |
