It is a good cpu cooler, i watched videos from youtube, some people must remove the plastic at the center of it, because this cpu cooler is so big in radius that can touch the mobo heatsink...

Whats a good silent cooler that is good for 130w stock(non OC) Pentium D

This Stock Intel cooler is starting to anoy me with its jet sound. I just hate it, there is no peaceful environment with Intel stock cooler + Pentium D + under non-air conditioned hot room.

1. I do not overclock, so overclock performance wont matter.
2. Silent is my primary concern.


Budget around <RM100, Will prefer to spend as less money as I can. Really getting sick of this stock Intel fan noise. Almost Feels like I want to use a hammer slam on it.

anione can suggest me a gd cpu air cooler...?

1)gd = hav veli gd review
2)silent = no noise @ all is d best
3)small = suggest me d smaller d better
4)bling bling = must hav bling bling ani colour will do,but not prefer red

u can try to look at coolers like xigma sd963 cos iirc its very cheap nowadays already

artic freezer 7 shud be ok too

for yours, u can try coolermaster tx3

it should do you well for ur requirement....

or u can look at the suggestion i gave above

fork out abit more budget, go for Xigmatek cooler.

anyone have review/comments for the CM TX3 tat use 2 fans over 1 fan?

coz i can only find reviews about it tat just use 1 fan....

How does the Artic Freezer 7/ Xigmatek that u guys suggested compared to Cooler master hyper TX3 on the silent/noise level? What about the Average selling price? I didnt see any in shop.

Because there other day I went to Lowyat plaza and saw Tx3 was sell rather cheap like RM65.

TX3 can be found as low as RM60 but the fan included is not really silent. In general, coolermaster fan are just cheap but not quality. For silent, Artic Freezer 7 will perform better but TX3 will have one or two degree lesser than Freezer 7. If not oc, then go for freezer.

TX3 2 fans setup vs 1 fan setup got differences?

TX3 is a good option.
my sister have 1 with am2 set.
budget cooler with ok. ok. performance

Rm 150 is kinda steep for my budget. I still prefer something below RM100 for a silent fan. It doesnt need to be as cool as it can get as I dont overclock, I just need silent.

I just bought a Prolimatech Mega Shadow, but i haven't install yet.

Anyone here tried? hows the performance?

erm...dont really know...

but from experience it depends on the cooler....

some cooler gives just slight improvement and that is around 2-3c difference

some dont even give a difference... for me dual fan is just for self satisfaction

just a personal opinion here

those two will be surely able to beat tx3....

sd963 is so good that it is just a lil bit behind its bigger bro s1283....

sd963 is an old version btw... the newer version of "sd963" is called sd964 already.... shud be able to find in LYP....

iirc last time i saw rockrock selling s963 very cheapo but dont know if he still has it now.....

hi guys. looked thru several pages here but cant seem to find out what is the best or relatively really good low profile cooler for a quad core or specifically, i5 750. casing that i use is a sg04. kinda like mini midtower casing.
the one in frostytech r for 775 socket.

ohya, didnt read ur post properly yesterday.... the fan noise normally is depending on cfm rating and size of the fan.....if the cfm is just around 30 like that for a 92mm fan, then it shud be quite silent....

otherwise, u can just look at the dba rating of the fan but that one sometimes not accurate though....

erm...i nvr really follow up on what cooler is the best for i5 and i7....

but from what i remember, a forummer named metsatsu is using ultima-90 for a quad core last time and its result is quite good....

I got 2 Pentium Ds, jet sounds PCs. I think I'll TX3 first. if I cant accept the sound of the fan. I move up budget to buy a more silent ones.

After all these thing, It makes me want to built a silent PC for my next PC.

most of the time hsf nowadays comes with a silent fan....

and the fans will be automatically controlled to rev up and down according to cpu load....

most of the time fans will be low speed (silent) if ur cpu is idle
