mcafee is good but too many annoying popup everytime it detect virus. after mcafee clean the virus it will prompt me for full system scan which i found it quite troublesome. the virus detection for mcafee as good as kaspersky i can say. my advice is dont install norton on slow machine or u will regret.

my personal opinion = kaspersky better. mcafee will display popup during startup which i think not necessary and it will slowdown the system for awhile. mad.gif

no, AVG informed me that a free serial number will be sent to my email shortly after i've downloaded the free edition, but it takes forever to deliver that....

Kaspersky rocks!!

I've been a Norton AV user for like more than 5 years (McAfee failed me previously back in the Win98 days)... just made a switch to Kaspersky and realised that Norton's AV "engine" a little dated and resource hungry. Kaspersky is slightly lower on resource compared to Norton (2-3MB lesser), without compromising security, and with more frequent updates to protect from new viruses. And the best part... it's one of the cheapest legal copy of AV payware available (via CHIP promotion). I'm lovin' it
