i personally use Norton Internet Security Professional 2004 c/w NAV. Quite a good combination, except that it eats up memory and sometimes can't clean the infected files - usually it just quarantines or deletes the infected files

perhaps u could have avoided the blaster worm if u have a good antivirus. well, for me, prevention is better than cure.
btw... how did u fix your pc after the blaster infection?

I downloaded FixBlast and removed the worm and installed the patch by Microsoft. I don't really trust anti-virus.. i know it's good to have one, but i've seen friends infected by virus too even they have anti-virus installed.. so i don't see the point of having one..

it is better to install an anti-virus just in case.. u will never know if there's any virus in ur system if u don..
kaspersky AV is a good one.. strong detection and superb updates(hourly)

| QUOTE (SnowWolf @ Aug 28 2004, 10:56 AM) | | your rig running winXP can use corporate edition of norton meh? I thought that's only for server OS? |
Corporate Edition de Client. Me also using that. Since version 7 (now 9 already). Anyway it's quite hungry ah.. ... Corporate Edition is good for office use which you have centralize control over all the AV client that you installed. LiveUpdate also easy. Just get from the server. Client do not need to have internet access to run LiveUpdate.

Norton is the best for virus detection, but use a lot of resources, beware of the shared file. Combined with norton internet security make ur compie better.
