with our friendy shop around, i hav try all, norton is my final choice.

i m using norton internet security 2005 not pro now
i found this time 2005 didnt scan all large size file that i move/copy/cut/compress/extract
which norton internet security 2004 professional will scan when i perform these action on large sized file
this is crucial to me bcos i m using LAN + dc++, i transfer 30gb++ file a day
to those who like norton, i think better wait for professional

btw, norton internet security = norton firewall + norton antivirus, it work fine on me, the firewall save my ass when there is still no cure on blaster

McAfee 8.0i and Kaspersky 5.0 the most best Anti-Virus in world...

McAfee 8.0i can detect, clean and delete the Virus simultaneously once u visit the Infected Web... thumbup.gif

Kaspersky 5.0 almost can clean all the infected file thumbup.gif but scanned file quite slow... whistling.gif

Norton can detect the infected fast oso but most of the infected file required u enter into the safe mode just can be cleaned... doh.gif

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 Critical Fix

Version: 5.0.156 Release date: 07.10.2004

Enhancements:

1. JPEG-format files are now scanned in all operating modes.

2. Adding new license key error has been fixed.

Known problems:

1. OAS can occur when suspicious or warning objects are placed manually to the quarantine. The disinfect dialog box for the quarantined object is displayed.

2. There are some non-localized messages (only in English) in the MailChecker module.

3. The application does not prompt for password when scanning protected archives placed to the quarantine by the user.

4. The MailChecker component works incorrectly with the Magic Mail Monitor application if the mail is collected at startup: message headers cannot be downloaded from the mail server (improper use of the POP3 protocol by the Magic Mail Monitor application).

- Can the new version be installed on top of version 5.0.149?
Yes, it can be installed on top of current version. You will only need to "exit" KAV.
(I would still recommend to take the time and uninstall previous version to escape possible erorrs).
