oh btw XMB also means the menu that you boot up to.. (xmb menu)

using CXMB will let you change not only how the buttons look, but their positions as well... yeah u can have a revolving cxmb menu that spins around like a disc and u use the analog to control xD

cfw is Custom Firmware, and here is the major difference : you are able to boot games from your memory stick with it.

with original firmware, you can only boot games from your UMD. in the past versions, Original Firmware 1.5 & below it was fine and allowed to boot from the memory stick. but old versions like 1.5 & such are not able to support newer games or homebrews.

most people here use dark_alex a.k.a. m33 coded cfws. because it's easily available & in english... lol jk.

i would personally suggest to bump it up to 4.01 atleast. i've had a friend who tried playing a game (yggdrasil something) in 3.90 but it wouldn't work. the game calls for 4.01.. lol

DO NOT watch UMD movies with your psp![
every few minutes/seconds in a movie the UMD drive will have to read your UMD to progress to the next scene, unlike games where it reads a part of data then runs it on your ram.

continuous UMD movie watching will burn out your lens very soon. NOT recommended.

just rip it to your MS then watch from there.

interactive umd movie? then it should already be in the format & good to go.

press select or home at the xmb to bring up the vsh menu, change the USB drive to UMD, then just copy & paste from the umd direct to your pc.

just like ISO games, then copy & paste as usual to the VIDEO folder.. or was it psp/video?

the formatting way that playboy suggested really isn't needed, i did mine up & it was working fine with the games (was 4.01). i dint have any themes so it dint matter anyway.

anyhow try reformatting first then tell us if it works... since i got no better idea anyway. lol

yes i did... lol, i might go back for a degree some day. haha

considering the line that i'm in, and the things that i want to do, getting a degree or diploma in business admin/management may be useful.. but i'm really reluctant to cough up the money & time to do it lol.

tekken is easy... the most basic attacks include forward, forward, punch/kick. that lets u charge from a distance & make the opponent fly.. sometimes hard to defend against.

or just keep tapping punch/kick button, usually one will have a 3 or 4 hit combo.

and those action applies to almost ALL chars, lol. add some variations in it and that's it, easy to win..

not like street fighter, i cant win the 3rd match.. )(@#*U@!_

got tekken beginner. lol

lol, just mastered a basic strategy... kick opponent in the air then hit em to make them fly~

oh okay. tonight will study that char... just been playing Wang JinRei (chinese old man) lol.
