Oh yeah I did haha. I'm using a 110CFM brandless fan from robyn. Shouldn't be that much diff over the stock 90CFM sunbeam fan though..

Load is about 60-65C whereas idle about 45-50C. This is without EIST or Speedstep enabled.
90CFM to 110CFM yah i know, 20% diff, but not sure how much more effective it is lor =p |

anyone using fm123 fan?
planning to change xigmatek s1283 stock fan with this. hopefully can get cooler. anyway, my test tonite, 3.5GHz (467x7.5 @1.325v) passed 4 out of 5 ibt tests. ![]() not give up, 3.6GHz (480x7.5 @1.375v) passed all 6 tests ![]() get excited, try increasing 3.67GHz (490x7.5 @1.4v) passed 5 out of 6 tests... ![]() finally increase fsb to 495, can login to windows! 3.7GHz, baby! but a few seconds ibt start, hang! must clear cmos for that... but happy enough knowing that my system can stand up to 490fsb. need better cooling system inside the case to get the temp down a bit. core temp read 80+ degrees. now will try to get 3.5GHz rock solid stable. |

i notice 1 thing for the penryn quad core aka yorkfield,
the more vtt(vfsb) the less vcore needed for a particular clockspeed, hence running cooler. may i know wat vtt(vfsb) most users here using ? i using 1.3v but dun increase untill 1.4v or above as it will kill ur yorkfield according to anandtech |

yes, 54-58C IDLE...
nope, my P35 dont any GTL refs. if i drop any setting of Vtt (VFSB), vMCH or vCore, it wont boot. but that just a test run. dont bother with those insane speed haha i tested Everest benchmark on FPU, 3.5+Ghz X3320 at least twice faster than a stock quad QX6700. insane... |
