manga ver is one of the best long series I have read...
the story plot and character developement is very good... I love how the adults in the manga (Mustang, Amstrongs family, Riza, etc) contacting each other using secret language code... and the new Greed also rox! for those who missed Greed in anime should read the manga... |

hm..if FMA reboot...hopefully they start at alternative continuation from eps 25-26....coz that's where the manga and anime split into 2 diffrent stories.
Where homoculas Sloth,Wrath Pride are very diffrent from Manga. Manga isnt draggy to me since it seems to be ending soon....since all cards are at hand now. |

Absolutely hated the anime. It just look good to some because these animator or anime script writer tend to overuse mind bloggling excuse that is out of porportion (like the idea of the "real" world which btw Eureka Seven did the same thing and so are others) to end the story at the very last moment.
Especially at around mid series, you can see dramatic plot change and sudden rush to explain everything on the alchemy and stuffs but lame one at that. I had a feeling FMA2 is going to be continued from last season but with a strange twist to get it back into manga story track. |

To clarify, it's not really a simulcast but it'll be broadcast on Animax Asia a few days after the Japan broadcast. It'll come with both English and Chinese subtitles.
I doubt they can so quickly dub the series in a 4-5 days. |

maybe cause of the art direction and expression... of course it being in HD helps =p from wut i've read, its a remake of the FMA closely tied to the manga... the first FMA swayed away from the manga midway and personally i dropped it halfway when it gets boring for me (ya shoot me)... btw: the full title is FMA2-brotherhood if i'm nt mistaken... |

erm... not really a side story, as starting from the mid of the anime, the story would be quite different from the 1st animu, which they tried to emphasize on. how it turned out is still everyone's best guess.

WOW... they skip and change alot in how Ed make his way up to become a State Alchemist... even change some good part from the original on how he realize to transmute without circles btw... this 1 is following manga? or another make over for FMA series? |

1st season very good for me in term of story, and the Conqueror Of Shambala also nice
i felt a bit sad when i knew the director of FMA2 is different person FMA2 is another story of parallel world for me hopefully this season 2 FMA wont make me fell disappointed btw, sometimes this anime teach moral/religion lesson in several episodes quite meaningful for me |

in a way thus far, i still prefer the first fma anime. that was truly dark and the jokes/comedy arent as loaded as the 2nd one. which the manga is supposed to be AFAIK (no i dont read the manga)

i got mixed feeling after watching ep 2.
now kinda dislike this new FMA. I have watched season1 and the movie but haven't read the manga before. Feel that the story when elric brothers are still small kids is too short in ep2. |

i think they are going to make everything exacatly the way the manga format.
Meaning, they going to do all the chapter of manga until they reach greed part. Hopefully this will be like the naruto and bleach series, dont stop at ep51 LOL. just keep on making!~ |

Ep 4 its disturbing.
But between FMA 1 and FMA2, i say FMA 1 version is better. its more serious, it add more insight to the story, they show how close their bonds. Well, we cant have all that in 1 episode anyway. Ep4 is my favourite so far =D |

Personally, I think people are comparing the two FMAs way too early. BONES clearly wants to get all the arcs covered in the previous series out of the way as soon as possible. I attribute the light-hearted feel of the current series to this.
Will they continue the less serious approach all the way til the end? I can't say, but even then its not a bad thing. God only knows there are too many constipated heroes out there. Never learn to relax on the pot. |

most of the single eps cover in Brotharhood so far is just reminiscing the manga storyline... for what reasons they wanted to show the same thing twice? even thou the previous version seems much more insigthtly "dark" thus far, its only 4 episodes air for us to compare it bones to skins.
and the manga is never 100% serious in the first place, there always Al or Ed making the crap out of the pages... |

knowing wut happened from the first version surely kills the excitement like about nina so forth... at least try letting it get to the different parts before really judging... |

Arghhhh just watched EP.4 on Animax just now.....Episode 4 was the most saddest episode ever in the whole series.....
When I first started to watch the first FMA...i nearly cried because of that...I remembered the song playing for during the sad part was immensely sad. The remake this time wasn't so sad....was expecting for it...but none. |

I find this remake a new refreshing way of watching an anime.....come on guys...to be honest...if you ever own an anime DVD will you watch it over and over again.....even if it's your fav....for me...I'll watch it again but no 3rd time....
But now I have an excuse for myself to FMA:Brotherhood...to see how's the ending like. |

I conclude that Ed has to "UNDERSTAND" (one of the fundamentals of alchemy) how his automail works to be able to rebuild it. As he doesn't know since its either too complicated or whatever, he can't transmute it back into a working arm.

i am kinda sad about FMA 2. i only watched till the epi where Scar killed Nina and Tucker
I am kinda sad with the new Scar. Why is his running style so naruto-like? and if I am not mistaken, in the 1st anime, they said Scar ability is actually Alchemy. But instead of deconstruct and reconstruct the molecule, he stop at deconstruct. Therefore his victims should .... err....imagine throwing a tomato from 10th floor but when he killed the Steel Blood Alchemist, his body is still intact. The same goes for Nina Chimera and Tucker |

When Winry got to Central train station to repair Edward's automail arm, the moment she call out to Major Armstrong, I noticed Ed & Al's master and husband walking passed her. Is she going to be featured in this series? I think the last, she beared a homonculus as her child, yes?

Previous FMA, before they encountered the armour brother, they fight with the REAL Barry chopper impersonating a woman who already kidnapped Winry(during the episodes Winry come to the Capital).
If follow the manga, the author never potraits Barry in his previos human form. |

Especially the other day when they had Sheska (Bookworm lady) and they said the FULLMETAL ALCHEMISTTT in that voice that sounded like someone screaming it before they "happen"... and then my parents who happen to be nearby wondered what I was watching.... On another note, Did they cut out the entire mining town arc/chapter/part from Brotherhood ? Won't they have like a little difficulty later on placing/explaining in the few characters from the mining town especially the one guy who actually helps them at a crucial moment later on as seen in the manga ?? |

This week episode, they cut out Edward going to the East headquarter to pass up his assessment and meet King Bradley there and where he followed him back then the part where his sensei encounter the Devil's nest gang in the alley. XD That part was funny but they cut it all out. What is wrong with them...

I mean come on, like the scene where Sig and Izumi found the broom in the alley, they had to throw in a character who looked like what their shop assistant Mason should look like out of nowhere and say "Oh, I saw someone with Ed's description over at the Devil's Nest"... So random... Slow down slow down... No rush... But the fight scene was nice. Hope this continues into the next episode. |

Episode 14 is by far the most gruesome, violent, merciless episode of all, and have very little toilet humour joke in serious moments.

Yeah no Envy attacks.... But overall the EP19=best episode for me so far. Hopefully they show some of the Envy attacks at the start of the next episode.

The old FMA shows how depress the 2 brother is, how desperate, and how reality truely is. THe old FMA shows alot of emoness, sadness, sadist feel which i think protray the life of the elric brothers very well. THe new FMA abit too jolly. but thats base on my opinion. I finish downloading the recent 2 episodes, but just dont have the mood to watch. Kinda bored. |
