Actually, the manga came before the first anime, which followed the manga plot halfway but had to make up the other half because the anime was going faster than the manga.


Not sure why they've decided to remake it, but this second anime will stick closer to the manga plot and is not a sequal to whatever happened in the first anime.
It won't exactly be the same (I've heard that they've modified the earlier episodes to speed up the story, especially when the first anime already animated it) but other than that, it's going to be based more on the manga.

Yay! (Because the first anime and the movie were kind of 'blah' if you've read the manga)
