this deka model x7n (https://deka.my/x7n/), when turn on, it doesn't rotate anymore.

before that, it still can rotate, but the speed maintain at low (probably speed level1) even though remote change to 2/3/4. and today, it doesn't even rotate, when turn on, it just move a little and stop immediately.

i took out the board already, any1 can recommend how and where to fix it? of coz.. cost effectively smile.gif

Last weekend I also just fixed my Deka fan as well...most of the time it's the capacitors. But the problem is which one? Normally it has 2 capacitors and also it could be diodes too...the parts are cheap less than RM10.

So I went to a shop in Jalan Pasar - Smart Electronics Repair and Services (next to a dobi and opposite the School Chin Woo) cause they can help diagnose which component are not working. End up paying RM25 to change one capacitor and one diode, slightly costs more but hassle free...went back install the board and its working like a charm now.

i have more than 1 similar fan, so i can take the whole board from the working fan, and tested fine on the not-working fan, so confirm something wrong the board. so i ordered new board from deka and gets is delivered.. new board came with 3 months warranty..

regardless of sex, i think it is quite easy to take out the board, u just need a ladder and screwdriver.. and know when to open up the cover and locate the board.. anyway, a decent fan without fancy remote control/led-light, should last longer..

Planning to get around 8-10 fans for my new home. Looking at Panasonic brand. Anyone have any real world comparison between the DC motor and non DC motor? I'm also considering getting a few units with the built in LED.

I notice the cheapest DC motor from Panasonic is around RM580, whilst the LED DC Motor goes for RM750. Is it worth the light?

Hi all,

planning to get a baby fan for my small master room.

1) Deka Baby 6N- 46", AC motor, 5 blade ,3 speed- rm 230

2) Rubine Vasto43- 43", DC motor, 3 blade, 5 sped- rm 600

which one offer better value, for long term usage as I do not open Aircond, fully depend on Fan.
One is expensive, less blade, smaller size but DC motor.

Another one nice design 46" but AC motor, not sure hows the review, does it wobble/noisy/ cant tahan?

Please help me to choose.
DC motor i heard more long lasting and quiet, isit true?
