i have a deka 5-blades ceiling fan, which is not working at anymore. the problem started with the fan speed is the same although i change the speed with remote (from what i noticed, the speed looks like always at speed of "1"). and today, the fan is not spinning anymore. when i off and on back the fan switch, it just move a tick and stop immediately.

what i can DIY to fix this?

this deka model x7n (https://deka.my/x7n/), when turn on, it doesn't rotate anymore.

before that, it still can rotate, but the speed maintain at low (probably speed level1) even though remote change to 2/3/4. and today, it doesn't even rotate, when turn on, it just move a little and stop immediately.

i took out the board already, any1 can recommend how and where to fix it? of coz.. cost effectively smile.gif

if you know how to solder i don't see any problem.

QUOTE(ozak @ Feb 26 2018, 08:58 PM)
1st replace this 2 capacitor. (Red circle)

The voltage might be different. If they no stock, might offer you other voltage. Ex. 550v or 300v etc. as long as above 300v, it is fine.

You need to solder out the capacitor and replace it.

There might be other capacitor around the board. Ex. Capacitor for speed control beside that 4relay. (4pcs. Black square thing) I can't see the whole board.

Fix it back and try it.

Don’t think I’ll know how to DIY, thanks anyway. Probably can try to ask electrical component shop see they can do or not.

My deka have exactly same problem, rotate a bit and got signal noise and stop. Now even can rotate anymore, ask the electrical ppl check say sensor spoilt need to change whole fan, just 3.5 years usage...

i have more than 1 similar fan, so i can take the whole board from the working fan, and tested fine on the not-working fan, so confirm something wrong the board. so i ordered new board from deka and gets is delivered.. new board came with 3 months warranty..

wow, u all really pro, maybe i'm a lady, so dunno how to dismantle the ceiling fan board or capacitor to test it, lol

In the end, I bought the most traditional KDK 3 blades ceiling fan without remote control, hope it can lasts and the price really incredible cheap only RM138.  bruce.gif

regardless of sex, i think it is quite easy to take out the board, u just need a ladder and screwdriver.. and know when to open up the cover and locate the board.. anyway, a decent fan without fancy remote control/led-light, should last longer..
