1st half

2nd half

This match shows that, while Iniesta is really one of the star in the team, and probably one of the best players, he still doesn't have what it takes to step into Xavi's boots. It's not because he is not good (Xavi said earlier this week that Iniesta even has something that he don't possess; dribbling ability), but I think its just because Iniesta likes to dribble with the ball too much. For several times he lost the ball in the midfield area, and exposed Barca's backline to be caught up by counterattacks. Maybe his decision making is still not up to Xavi's standard. But he combined with Messi wonderfully in later stages of the game.

And congratz to Henry for the goal, but I think Bojan should be praised for that beautiful cross too. And he also managed to muscle his way to have a clean look at goal, although Lux used his feet several times to deny Bojan. I think Bojan will be better than Eto'o once he gain more experience and body strength. He was easily outmuscled by Mallorca defenders at times.

Nonetheless, its a good lead to carry to San Moix for the second leg.

Edit: And Messi was all restless while on the bench biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Pick me coach, pick me!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

All are La Masia products. We should congratulate La Masia staffs for doing a very good job rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Well, Busquets call up is indeed a surprise, even his father said that he didn't expect that his son will rise so meteorically. But Vicente del Bosque already voiced his admiration in the player in the past. So even that it is surprise, it is an anticipated surprise smile.gif smile.gif

Talking about La Masia products, Now I'm going to introduce one of the latest hot products now, Gerard Deulofeu, a 14 years old boy.

Last time around we won 1-6 away. Now at home, its hard for not expecting another huge win. Maybe at least 5 goals, considering that Sporting will play without a striker, all defenders.

So I think our midfielder will be Iniesta-Toure-Busquets. with Iniesta will be given full freedom to roam forward. Busquets and Toure will be covering at the back.

For us, it will surely be satisfying if we get a world class GK to add into our world class squad. But does Pep thinks the same? We should ask ourselves, why Rijkaard kept him during his 5 years in charge? Is he really not that good? As Faris said, he is the forerunner for the Zamora Award currently. And it is very very not fair to think that that is because our defenders or defensive midfielders played great. Many times Barca was so exposed to counterattacks this season, but it was Valdes' ability in one on one situation which saved Barca points. Maybe he is not the best in Spain, but he is certainly one of the best that Barca can have. He is a willing worker, and he is a true Catalan. Remember, his goals conceded ratio is less than 1 per match. That is a good record.
