long time didt stop by here tongue.gif  well, as i said very2 long before..we should not put the blame on henry and said bla bla bla even ask to sold him..maybe he is not as good as henry at arsenal, but henry still henry guys.he still got something to offer to us.so juz keep support our player. thumbup.gif messi has prove his ability.i hope we will doing well in UCL.plz take a revange to the 'devil' team!! tongue.gif

I will try to provide a picture about Henry performance. brows.gif brows.gif

Yes, he scored 2 goals for us. But it is fair to say that Depor tactical approach was all wrong. They tried to play with us. They were not putting as many men as, for instance, Osasuna did in front of their goal. They didn't want to counterattack. So surely they fail miserably. Henry is useful against this type of teams. He has a great vision to find spaces.

But against a team who defend with ten men, Henry can do nothing. He can't find spaces anymore. He has lost his speed and agility, so that is a big hindrance for him in that situation. Eto'o certainly has advantage because he has agility. The same can be said about Messi. They can beat 2 markers in a split of second by turning or out-pacing them. Henry?

IMO, Henry now can be really useful if he acts like a big man forward, because of his height (he scored with his head against Depor because of this), he has a great technique, his shooting is still great (remember his goal against Atletico?), and he still has the vision. But he certainly has to improve his passing.

Lol dude..just joking...

And yeah of course if given a choice i would play eto'o rather than henry as the former is more energetic and deadly... Henry is transforming into the types that read games, run into spaces and tap in..Kind of like luis garcia back then, or more obvious, like ole gunnar solskjaer, the MU super sub

Anyone watching? Numancia is defending for their life, and Barca is still struggling to get a goal. Nice plays by Barca players, but Numancia could have up to 7 players in their penalty box to block Messi or shut down any space. 1st half, it is 0-0.

Added on January 25, 2009, 6:59 amThat's the final whistle. Another win!

Barca 4 -1 Numancia

49' L. Messi
53' S. Eto'o
61' J.J. Barkero
71' T. Henry
76' L. Messi

My MOM, surely is Iniesta thumbup.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

1st half

2nd half

About Messi situation, well, many Barca fans are trying to be cautious, stating that there is nothing impossible in football. Messi may do another Figo. I think that is ridiculous. Messi affiliations with Barca is bigger than Figo had. Figo was bought by Barca at the age of 23, while Messi was brought to Catalunya at the age of 13. So people should believe that Messi affiliations with Barca is special. If you want to compare Messi, it is better for you compare him with Ryan Giggs. They have quite similar affiliations with their clubs. Remember Giggs once rejected a mega deal from Inter? I believe Messi will follow Giggs, not Figo.

And for those who say money talks louder in football these days, remember how Kaka's proposed transfer to City failed?

agree with u matyrze...barca is super fool if their letting messi go blush.gif bout last nite match,i think almost all barca fan will espect a super defensive and counter attack mind from numancia.which is they doing very fine in 1st half.but at the 2nd half, barca have found the way to crash out that tactic.and at the end,we got a full 3 point.if lucky enough, eto'o and messi should score more as they both have great chance. sweat.gif

I don't think Barca is fool to let Messi go if there is any club willing to give offer exceeds Messi's buy out release clause (a staggering 150million Euros, and Barca is reported to trying to increase it to 200 million). Can you imagine how Barca may benefit from that amount of money from selling a youth product? If anybody come to Barclona's door and offer 200million Euros, Barca should accept it.

But my point is it will be Messi who will reject the move. His heart is at Barca. How can he forget how Barca helped him by bringing him to Spain, funding his schooling, funding his medications (remember he was suffering from a hormone disease while he was moving to Spain?), and giving him the taste of professional football. How the hell he can forget that?

IMO, he will do like Kaka did, by listening to his heart, not by listening to his pocket, which is, until now, full of money that Barca had given to him since long ago.

i don't think Messi will leave now but anything can happen in 3-4 year from now, since i support Barca we always sell our magician (Romario,Stoickov,Ronaldo,Rivaldo,Ronaldinho) after they lost their magic
