i sent an email to pioneer century, and they replied that they have confirmed my booking. so does that mean that i can check in by this week? just want to make sure..

I believe yes. It's more sure to make sure with Pioneer than us.

If you are told that you are offered for Langkawi Hall, then you will be staying in Langkawi.
Quite a good hall where it's among the nearest to the academic circle.
To get connected to internet, if you choose to use the SNS (the internet service available for on-campus students) which is about RM60+ per month, you will need to make payment and register at the SNS Office located in the Pangkor Hall.

You can pay by semesters or pay by months. Pay by semesters is slightly bit cheaper but I prefer pay by months.
I believe there's still a one-time activation fee imposed. I forgot the amount already, better prepare more cashes.
Also, one LAN cable.

I forgot the link, but you can go to the Sports Complex, and at the office window there's a link posted there. That website can only be accessed within Uni. If you're asking specifically how to book it within the website, I dunno..haha

i think i'll subcribe to either digi or celcom broadband by this coming weekend.
Anyone using one of them in the hall of residence? which one would u recommend?
the rm58 plan for digi seems to be very tempting, since it's the cheapest package available (i think). or maybe the rm68 plan for celcom is better?

You will be allowed to use all the facilities in the house, for RM10 a day.
there is shuttle bus access to my house or I can chauffeured you to Uni on weekdays.

hey, are you the one who called me a few days ago, looking for a place for yourself and your friend?
my double room is still available and i need to let it go ASAP as semester is starting soon.
it's in TTS 2/4B, fully furnished with a/c and shared bathroom.

anyone looking to share a room out there, pls email maybelchh@yahoo.com or pm for more details.
I'll be at the house this saturday around noon to greet my tenants, and hand out keys and everything.

It's sad to know that the university does these sort of last minute offer to student.
dont expect unim accommodation by both the management, on n off-campus to be available. they still have their waiting list, in case ppl with offer decided to pull out last minute.

There number of posting in LYN for accommodation has dropped in the last 2 weeks but still be able to find one or two. worst comes to worse, take the offer from the posting who offer temporarily accommodation on a day-to-day basic, till u find something.
Single rooms should be 'sold out' by now. try room hunting on weekends in semenyih or stick around the cafeteria or SA building to ask around.
if you have your own transport, try sunway semenyih.

good luck
