not even the private houses which are for rent?? some of the classifieds i've seen there offering quite good price..
I have a master room and a double room for rent in TTS 2.
it might not look as new as edusquare, but it's clean.
It's fully furnished with furnitures and a/c with a contract for 9 months.
contact maybelchh@yahoo.com or 0162716408.
Semester is starting soon, dont be left out without a place to stay.
If you havent apply for on-campus accommodation yet, i would say 'dont bother to apply and start looking for off-campus accommodation before the good rooms are gone'.
If you have received a confirmation for on-campus accommodation, hold on tight to your offer and dont expect too much. request to switch rooms for whatever reasons will not be entertain. rooms condition: dont compare with off-campus accommodation. the only advantage with on-campus is the walking distance to classes and library. If you are on the top floor, it's going to be an oven during the day.if you want to grab a nap during lunch for missing sleeping hours the previous night for whatever reasons, head to the library.
And lastly is for those still waiting for a reply from management regarding a room on-campus, i would also suggest you start looking for alternative. there's 50-50 chance you would get it. Even if you might get one, you might not like agree with what they offer.
If you dont have a car in semenyih, stay close to TTS area or else you could venture to sunway semenyih where rental is slightly cheaper, but usually rental is for full 12 months. travel time from sunway semenyih to campus in the morning takes 15-20mins(if your class starts at 8am) as there's traffic in semenyih town. Shuttle service between TTS and campus are available on schduled timing, if you dont the hassle of finding a place to park. walking distance to campus from TTS 5, so expect to pay more for accomodation there.
Most of the houses for rental in TTS are decent. there are double story houses or bungalows.
some are furnished to Pioneer Century standard but most aren't. Condition of house depends on the owner of the house. Fully furnished house range from RM 1100-RM 1500 while unfurnished are RM 800-RM 1000. ROOM rental range from rm 200-400 per room. expect to pay more if it's a new building or renting from the acommodation management. house with A/C usually excludes electricity utilities. water doesn't cost much as the first 20m3 are free in SELANGOR. EXPECT to pay additional for internet/streamyx connection, thought some do include in rent, maybe not.
deposits are usually 1 mth advance + 1mth utilities + 2 mths deposits. so if you dont have to pay 3 mths of deposit, consider yourself lucky and shhhhhhhhh.......if you get my meaning. or if you decided to move out earlier than what is stated in your contract, your deposits will be forfeited, be it on-campus or off-campus.
so if any one needs clarification/advice/hv question about accommodation, i'll be glad to answer them.
cheers and good luck to all !!
