I can't connect at all now

the AMAX CS call me yest morning, ask for my modem serial number, username and password, didnt bring the modem to office, so can let them know, hope they will call again later.

they just called me as well, ask for my MODEM SN and MAC address

the Agent call me just now, say will activate my own 1 in short time, thats why I need to type in my username, still unable to connect though.

download speed not to bad. but www speed is slow, and getting lost connection often now a days.  its like now u surfing playing some facebook game. next ting you know. u have lost the connection.. another reboot of the modem..  oo Iam not using USB Iam on CPE and its external anttina am connected to Channel#0, 2305000kH. my CNIR use to be 20,20 few month ago, b4 they did some dono what change to its system. but now its only yoyoing around 14 - 16 at times it will hit 18.

what piss me off is MSN. you might be chatting with a friend. suddenly all is quiet. you dont get any reply frm your friend.. (what I later found out. the other side have not got your msg or he has reply but you dint get the  reply..) if on group chat you will drop out of the chat very frequent.

the reason I wrote fedup.. because I have rebooted  the CPE  for more then 5 times that day..

for you that is using the USB modem I guess you have to find a good spot for it..if not..     like my CPE even with the external anttina  I have to find a good spot and direction to point it.. if not..     

wimax  is just a baby but how long we have to wait and pay for the bad services and wait for it  to improved.. and I dont believe in all this contract you have to sign.. its only use to protect the ISP not the user.. if its services is good. ppl will stay with or with out contract.

Haha ,actually amax were also a big scam company .
It states no capping but pps/torrent are slow ,haha .Too many lies in M'sia ~

even if u're only with 1 channel, your ip will continue to change

yep.. but sat morning.. public ip has been assigned to users.. but around afternoon the ip goes back to shared ip......
so i was wondering are they just testing or planning to implement public ip

it can be identified very easily. when we connect to amax network  we're assigned with an private ip address... and we share few commons ip address..
in order for an ip address to be called a private ip address we need to be in the range like 192. , 10. , 172.  any ip address out of the range out be considered
public ip address..

in sat morning they've assigned user with 180.233.145..... ip address when we connect to their network. but later it has gone back to the private ip range.
hope this would answer your question. and do correct me if i'm wrong.

this is Wimax technology's weakness~ in conclusion, it's pooling of bandwidth for streamyx and wimax technology~ if u use business package, u get dedicated IP~
