checked from my friend who is using P1, their IP address won't change constantly as Amax did. They always have the same IP address eventhough whatismyip.com is refresh a few times.
Is confirmed this is AMAX problem, not the characteristic of the wireless technology. AMAX, please do not blame this is Wimax technology weakness. It is Amax's own implementation weakness.
If you don't believe me, try to verify from your friend who is using P1 wimax.

I have submitted my feedback/complaint on the IP addresss change constantly to Huawei Malaysia. Their manager replied that someone will be sent to investigate on it.

Any comment?

we don't need 1.5mbps to surf web pages. 512kbps will be more than enough.

LOL ... do you call Nokia/SE/LG/Samsung to complain about Maxis network service problem?
I believe AMAX advertised they do not cap anything but I dunno how honest are they on keeping the promise.
If the operator wanna cap you from downloading movies, there is no way you can bypass them!
How often is the IP address change? Is it mean disconnection or the lease time of the IP is too short? By right, the the device should request for the same IP.
*
each time i check with whatismyip.com, i obtain a different IP Address.

True. If I am able to refresh the page like 5 times within 10 seconds, I'll get at least three different IP addresses

This explains why my VPN and SSH connection can't last more than 30 minutes. IP address keeps changing

Hey guys, i think all the internet providers in Malaysia the same lah, same problems like slow browsing, connection slow, line drop etc.... Some frens using Wimax tell me they also have same problems, now I read you fellas also having problems with Amax.. I thot I was going to change from Jaring to Streamyx but people also say Streamyx sucks...
Now anyone out there using Jaring and paying RM99 per month? You know they got same package but for new users they are only charging RM69 pm, so I complained to them and told them STreamyx also giving good promotion. Finally they agreed to charge me only RM69 pm instead.. So fellas, if anyone ofyou paying old price, go to Jaring and "make noise" with them, complain to them of the slow connection, etc and INSIST that you pay only RM69 pm for being a loyal customer
*
are you using Jaring fixed line or Jaring wireless? What is the problem with Jaring?

Hi,

I would like to find out whether wireless IP camera connected to Amax wimax at home could be accessed via Internet connection from external ? I've an IP camera setup at home and everything works perfectly within my priviate local network at home but I'm still unable to connect to the IP camera from outside. I've even registered a DDNS for my IP camera but it doesn't seem to work.

I suspect that amax connection might be unable to support such connection setup and hope I could find out from those who have managed to setup such connection using amax wimax here.
*
Forget about it, my friend. Amax external IP address keep changing every second. Impossible for you to connect to your IP camera from outside via Internet.
Amax suck!!!!!!!!
Dont use Amax!!!!!

I just received sms from Amax. Their re-engineering and re-structuring of their network is complete.
Can we still terminate our subscription at this moment?

The only improvement is that external IP address is being assigned to my computer.
Prove ? The router has the same IP address as my computer.
