Hello fellas, would appreciate some help on this... googled but no solid answers:

How do I set up media-streaming from PCs (using WMP11) to the PS3?

The router is Aztech DSL605EW with UPnP on, my PS3 is connected wirelessly and can download updates n stuff from PSN...

but WMP11 cannot detect the PS3 to configure sharing and my PS3 cannot detect any media servers, UPnP in the PS3's connection status is "unavailable", NAT is listed as type 2 I think...

Please advice... thanks...

Plz read below link
http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstatio...thread.id=47608

do u have any anti-virus software installed in ur pc? might be blocking the outgoing... thats y ps3 can't see the media share
http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstatio...thread.id=85243

i assume u enable media server on ps3

alternative, like kazasho suggested, tversity works wonderfully with ps3...

Pepperboy, if I remember correctly you have to manually add the media in WM11 for sharing. Its possible that the ps3 and pc can "see" each other already but not displaying anything since theres no media in the shared folder of WM11. I have the same setup as you and had no problem though I don't use the facility anymore.

Hi, you can google for the address....in my case, my old company is in Singapore and my current company HQ is in US, so I use both their address....good luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong, Demo you have to do it on the PS3.....as for firmware updates you can download from PC and use a USB stick to update it.....as for internet I don't know if windows can do it......I'm on a mac.....I can set my mac to share my internet connection through WIFI and connect my PS3 through WIFI......
