US PSN normally doesnt accept credit cards other than from US n canada.. try use ur maybank visa to apply entropay debit card at www.entropay.com ..
u'll be asked for ur information such as ID with ur name n bank statement with ur address to verify.. u'll be charged 4% everytime u topup ur entropay.. n u'll also be taxed on US PSN store

if you want to back up your saved data only,
you can use any USB thumb drive plug into your ps3 system.
. just direct copy paste to your USB thumb drive..

Get your facts straight man.I dont think you need a big ass thumbdrive for save data. The biggest data I have came across was about was around 4 megs. Unless for the game data, now thats another story. Both are different. Or if you are trying to back up your system, then yes you will need a big ass hdd. I backed up my system on an IDE hdd, 80 gb. so if my hdd screws up, I can restore my backup anytime.

I got a weird problem with my PS3 after changing the lens. Now can play PS3 games but cannot play BD movies. I tried with region free BD also cannot as I thought may be due to region issue. I also tried to reset back to factory default and reformat also failed. Set the 24 fps to "off" instead of "Auto" also failed. Any idea? The shop is still trying to figure out what is wrong?

yes, but don't expect to go online smoothly. Morning should be okay but it will get laggy at night. U need a router to connect the USB modem coz the PS3 can't detect USB modems.
