guys who are practicing martial arts here...any martial arts that can be effective + shortest time to learn(not mastered ofcoz) for self defense ?

The hardest thing is to find a good school which is oriented to self defense. some school is more for fitness and some are just aerobic classes or just too commercialized.

classes which are not too crowded and not too many people and have live sparring.

western boxing, jeet kune do, maybe muay thai. but i don't know if there are good school or instructor in Malaysia.

Anyone trained in the following gym before? :
Mixed Martial Arts Training Center (MMATC)
ONE ASIA Academy

Would like to get feedback on the environment of gym above.
Does it have shower room?
Do they accept people without any Martial Art experience?
How are instructors coaching?

Thank you very much... notworthy.gif

What do you mean by effective ? You want to learn how to kill, maim or what ? Semua ada legal consequences. laugh.gif

There is no shortest time, you want it then you need a GOOD trainer. If $$ no object then its a trainer +1 sparring partner.

Ask around and see if you can find an ex-military person to train you. Some of them are ummmm not mentally stable, so be careful. If you are lucky it will be fast and furious whistling.gif

Ummmm, didnt you ask this question before ?

I do hope I was mean, because holding such knowledge that would enable you to take a life or cause damage is stressful at best.

same mcm tagline u laa .. "once a hacker,always a hacker"
MA (Martial Art) pun sama .. let say u become a boxer, then u always be a boxer .. sbb jiwa u dh sebati dgn boxing technique
Same jgk mcm ade girlfriend ramai .. tapi sorang jer akan u pilih utk jadikan isteri, btul tak?
So sekarang, open your option .. try as many as u can before confirm joining .. let your "jiwa" make the decision ..
As for me, Japanese MA is my option (Karate n Aikido) .. btw, i org melayu .. boleh kahwin 4 hahaha
