NO, headphone amp is not a pre-amp although SOME are. If you have two sets of RCA sockets that are marked IN and OUT chances are is a preamp too!

as I mentioned earlier, no board is necessary as point-to-point wiring is possible/better! But if you still want a board for it, that can be done also

-of course as the T-Amp came completely assembled, just 'plug n play'
with the GC, needs some assembling work.I think since tomorrow is a public holiday, I might assembled my GC as the board 3 (actually board 4 ) is still logging the burn in hours. After a short burn in can pit the GC with the T-Amp neck to neck... hmmm sounds like a good plan!

we'll or rather I'll build a 'low cost' version of the power supply first (using normal tranny)as I have these at hand and move on to toroidal when time and $$$ permits. bsl quoted something like RM150 which I think is reasonable considering the performance gained! also, your spare torroid is also available mah!

You could easily find the answer by scrolling back this entire thread; all the prescribed mods have been fully described and there are even pictures with pointers of how to do them by our T-amp sifu Jazzy.

Gabanyayaya, macam ini baru syok mah! Do you know that the 4 ferrite inductors which come along with the T-amp made it sound ‘aggressive’ and dynamic? Changing them to Jazzy and Ongbs self coiled ‘donut’ styled ones would smoothen sound by quite a lot. I like my T-amp’s dynamic sound so I’m staying put with them. No fixed rules here, you could tweak it to sound the way you actually prefer your music to sound. 

I've not either. I was reading through (and a big chunk merely browsing through) the diyAudio forum on sureelectronics Tripath board and noted not many T-amp users of our type are modifying their boards yeah? Wonder whether I actually missed out, if there are.

ArjenShenzhen is selling the T-amp boards very cheaply, at €5 each . He also mentioned those fake Audiophiler 2.2uF caps were bought at €0.80 cents per pop.
