wow.. mind to share ur experience @ Crystal bay..? 200 logged dives will take me 10years. haha... just certified OW 1 year now with 20 dives.
Nothing happen to me actually. I was dive at 49m using double tanks. Huge group of Mola-Mola have been seen once I approached 40m. With the strong current, you have to be fast and keep yourself very near to the reef. Its not a relax dive as sometimes need to fight current. I am prefer relax dives rather than adventure/struggling.QUOTE(chastise @ Aug 30 2012, 12:17 AM)
For me, know your limits and your experience before descending. Seeing Molas might be a good experience but my dear life is more important. Never worth it to risk your life for things like this. Even the most experienced divers will face difficulties under such situation. Not to scare off those who are planning to dive in known currents dive sites but must be sure that you have plan/coordinate your dive well plus the necessary equipment and experience to deal with such situation in case anything unpredictable happens. That being said, I consider myself an inexperienced diver and I have not dived at Nusa Penida before.
As far as I remember, Crystal Bay claimed 2 lives last year as well during the mola mola season.

This made me think twice before planning for mola
. Any other spot that we can spot mola? Other than Nusa
My previous Bali guide told me that they encounter everyday Mola-Mola action at 15-20m at Tepekong and surrounding Padang Bai area.
