My experience, back inflate just 20% better than normal BCD. Wing type 80% better in term of streamlined in the water. I go this way Normal>Back>Wings, but I regret I didnt do Normal>Wings.
*
oic. coz for now i havent got myself any BCD yet.. wanna buy one la but mahal.. tot of getting a good back inflate that will last for years.. wings, maybe when im richer biggrin.gif

not forgetting, regs and div com aso tarak.. there aso another 3-4k already.. i see the zeagle scout in US is only 300+-.. prolly check size here, and ship from US...

Any particular reason for choosing those regs? Bear in mind, apeks and atomics servicing cost is quite high
*
prefer the lighter stuff, and dont think i'll be going <40m, performance for the flight should be alright i guess? blink.gif

how much will servicing cost? i read that atomics requires servicing once every 2 years, or after duno how many dives.. which is still acceptable i for me.. not too sure about flight... any clue u have?

Probably still on raya break. There's only the malay guy working there only so still probably off.

The last I check, I think around May or June, it's still operating. Call him up and make appointment before going cause sometimes he won't be there.
*
i see.. so you've been there before? hows the pool condition like? is it always packed?

was checking the rates, but last updated was 2008..

Yea been there few times already. I posted the link to their website with the rates earlier. tongue.gif

Pool condition quite dirty. You'll be using the diving pool so it's not the same pool as public. Only divers will be there and also sometimes they have the synchronize swimming practices and pool volleyball guys doing warm up there also. So sometimes get to hear music while underwater and see the guys throwing each other into the pool lol.

Toilet very dirty. I usually don't shower there admit house nearby.

i see.. pics n all that look so good... plus its deep enough.. i just went to seamonkey last monday to test out stuff.. looking for more places...

if thats the case then i'll prolly have to stick with seamonkey.. heard theres another pool in cheras..

I'm finally getting my diving license next year around May and would be going to Sabah in Sept to dive (with a few dives in between the months I hope).

Some of my friends warned me that its too early to go to somewhere so nice to dive as you wont appreciate the normal places once you've gone to the best.

How true is that? Do you guys get bored or stop diving at a spot after diving it over and over again? I somehow feel I wont but I've yet to get my license and dive before.

either way, fish, no fish, bad vis, or for whatever reason, its still better than a good day sittin in the office..

ya go for open heel with booties.. save yourself from blisters..

now after every dive trip or after the fourth dive, i need lots of plasters for my toes..

planning to get some socks to deal with the blisters.. akona 2mm sock??

not sure whether it works but tempted to try..
