i see. No wonder there always a 3.5g sign at my signal bar whenever i download something on the web. I tot this package is a cikai package. Thanx for informing.

D50 package is not advertised at all in Celcom's product line. It's is a premium package for the selected / lucky drool.gif few people. Consider yourself lucky indeed by managing to subscribe to it rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I've been a D50 user for more than a year already and did not meet more than 6 people subscribing to the same D50 package.

How did you managed to sign up for the D50 anyway ? Got promotion ka ?

I'm at Desa Ilmu here and past one week I can't get HSDPA connection. only 3G connection with average download speed of 100kbps. Am I being capped? Or is anyone else experiencing similar problem with HSPA in Kota Samarahan?

I battle outside at Desa Ilmu, but the speed here is quite fast. Maybe kongsi together with the uitm & unimas tower????
What i know is Desa Ilmu dont have any tower.  doh.gif

Yup, Desa Ilmu don't have one. got 3 towers outside UNIMAS, but it belongs to DiGi and Maxis.
I get the connection either from 2 nearest towers, UITM or UNIMAS

Better not take that package. I think the laptop is overpriced.

You're not being capped. It's just you're sharing with hundreds or thousands of users from UNIMAS, because the only tower serve HSDPA is inside the UNIMAS. I even can't get ful speed in my D68, except at my office at Kuching.

I just call Celcom Customer Service, and here's what I found for this promo (for new subscribers)
-----
Contract 24 months (2 years)

Downpayment RM 3816
- If use cash, need to pay full amount
- for credit card, you need to pay RM 159 per month for 24 months.

If you pay full amount (RM 3816) during registration, you'll no longer pay anything for 24 months.

After 24 months, you'll start paying monthly charges for broadband Basic Unlimited D68 (RM 68)

1 Year warranty for Laptop and modem (Huawei E220)

Hi Digilife,
That notebook is almost obsolete. Basically, Celcom is helping Compaq to clear old stock!
FYI, Centrino 2 is here!!! Netbook also arrived!!!

Yup, that's why I felt this notebook seems overpriced after reading the terms and condition.

If Celcom wants to give promotion, they should give free netbook since netbook is much cheaper than notebook!!!

Mr Cola,
Pls pass this message to Celcom. Thanks! thumbup.gif

We can't pass messages to marketing dept or higher management and we have no right to do so too. Celcom have own promotion team and etc to help them making new promos.

Anyway to connect to IRC on Celcom BB?
Any workarounds?

Using D98 plan, i know about the public IP, which makes it a real B***H coz probably some P***K got himself and the whole IP banned. TMnet no problem connecting but too bad I can't use that often. With Celcom BB, the error message is IP banned on dalnet.

Would appreciate some help guys! Layman terms if possible, no exotic port forwarding or proxy setup thingy unless they're the best options. heh heh
thanks!
