I wish it would happen, but I won't expect it to. The very last fighting game to come over here was Soul Calibur III Arcade Edition. I've never come across any of these other fighting games in local arcades: Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection, Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken 6. The only games that ever come here anymore are light gun games or racing games. I long for the days where great competition can be found on most of the fighting game machines. Here's hoping Street Fighter IV makes it here.

nicely done for the combo hit and such, but it can be done easily if the opponent left "unblock" but its nice to see you can actually do a 15 hits combo without the "special"

If based on the videos, jump when possible. He'd Yoga Teleport everytime and Spinning Piledriver you when close. His chances are available after a Shoryuken I believe.

Haha. Well, most of the fighters will relate to Seth.
Since SF4 is before SF3 and after SF2, we can say that after SF2, Ken got married and his wife is now pregnant, as shown in the ending. |

This guy shows that in 2 seconds you can release. If your using stick, you can try and match his speed. You can also if say you want to do combo with Guile, Up+HK, HP then Sonic Boom, jump first but holding the back button then kick. Then when you land down immediately let go of back, punch and then Right+punch, assuming you are facing to the right. The online element in this game is so good, it's so smooth and clean. Even when I got challenged, it was never jumpy. I really had fun with the game and even the combos were a lot easier to pull compared to SSFT2THD.

The cool thing about the online mode is how once people challenge you, wheter or not you win or lose you can choose to challenge again or just slip comfortably back into arcade mode.

Btw, freakin' online play seems to be a little laggy but it could've been some issues with Streamyx over the last few days also. With SSF2THDR the lag was quite tolerable even with users from abroad, but in SFIV it is just baaddd. Playing with local guys(MY/SG) seemed good. adli, if the guy uses akuma, and then does Shun Goku Satsu (Super or Ultra), you can jump from it.
But I need someone to confirm if you can still jump after you get knocked down and sees Akuma charging to you with it. |

His ultra, 1 thousand something hits I guess, which actually translates to 27 hits only, is done the same, but front is replaced with back. |

here's more to add to the gouken mystery. i was using blanka, haven't unlocked akuma yet. easiest, 1 round 60 secs. had a good run, 3~4 perfects, 3 ultra combo finish including one on seth and boom gouken appears!
but because haven't unlock akuma i don't get him! |

i just got my a** handed to me last night
not a single win against avira sigh...and then another beating by my cousin mr. jordantan...i can only hope that was a bad dream...pls someone tell me it was just a bad dream |

FC -> H+FP -> C+HP -> Shoryuken -> Shinkuuhadouken Especially connectiing the 2nd and 3rd part of the combo - can't get the timing. |

Got my hand on today the xbox360 version... xbox controller is not meant for SF4.. so dammed hard to execute the moves...

Akuma - go to easiest mode , Perfect for 1 round , other ultra combo finish all without continue .... akuma will appear and booyaa u get akuma .... Gouken - after unlock akuma , use akuma in easiest to clean the story without rules , then use neither one character and perfect 3 times rest must ultra combo finish ..... The reason why parries were removed was that they were just too unbalanced, an expert player can trash a noob and he'd have no chance of fighting back. while fair... it wasn't fun.
now with the focus attacks you have something like a parry system, but because that're some limitations it's not that unbalanced. And also,, the Ultra Combo revenge system, which brings meaning to the fact no matter how good you are, you don't let your guard down and let someone ultra your ass |

after reading the book im still blur how to excute the ultra
.. how to shutdown the ultra and do the ultra .i keep on doing super thingy . example ryu . the dfdf punch . i try do it in practice with ultra glowing still the ultra won't stop .and i execute the super . what a bummer . |

just press lp+mp+hp or lk+mk+hk
sometimes ur movement is on focus mode lol i unlock my akume by playing arcade with 1 perfect and no ultra finish i unlock gouken after unlock akuma..then play akume till finish..after dat used any char and play with 2 perfect 3 ultra and no continue |

S4PH: get the 1 for the xbox since the controller is easier to execute moves than the 1 on the DS3. I've been using the xbox controller all the way and i don't have any difficulty except to do focus cancellation moves.

Hey guys. I just started getting on Live 2 days ago. Been getting some practice with rezalida last night. Add me if anyone wants to fight me. Gamertag crimsonmythril. Btw, if you're serious about pulling off specials or supers with precision 100% all the time, arcade stick is the way to go. Like when Rezalida got hit with Zangief's ultra. Isn't that right rezalida?

just got the game yesterday, kena tapau with jiro ( friction's bro ) ...playing with xbox controller..the sf4 stick seems a lil bit loosen to me, dunno.. any other option for arcade stick guys? is the gamepad good?

To those who just wanna beat arcade mode, spam Zangief's spinning hand (spinning lariat or something like that). This is just to beat the AI (easiest to hardest), you will not gain any skill. And please don't use this against human players, you'll get pwned beyond repair lol.

Im shocked seeing how the Art Work and the game character looks totally different.. Zzz, It's hard to improve skills in fighting games, Unlike FPS, you'll just need more reflex++ better aim.. But fighting, wow split-second thinking, Tried the Normal Trial Level 3 for Ken i think, must use Heavy kick and continue with Hadoken, walao, HK->QCF+P Fail Fail, Dunno how to pass.. >_<" |

Just finished a couple of matches with Ilumina. Damn, his Ryu is full of combos, focus cancels and throws. Need to sharpen my skills even more. Good game, bro. Now, I need to sleep off my flu. Haven't been easy gaming for the past two days.

Yeah, I'm crimsonmythril. You have no idea how many people give me 'that' look when fighting as E. Honda. I've only recently gotten good at focus->cancel into dash. You need to master that to pass some Crimson Viper and Rufus' challenge.

All press the default Left shoulder button.i mean when i check the key config, it say Left,Down,Right x2 and Triple punch, The Triple punch u need to click 3 time or there is a single key that can perform 3 punches with 1 click??? thanks mates |

haha... dun la say like that...im not a heavy gamer like u all ma.. im just a casual gamer...i wanna unlock all character so i can play VS mode with more character with my fren... and SETH is so hard to kill omg need to take long time to unlock all...

i also casual gamer ma.. but i like to enjoy my games. hence i am glad that this gen don't have gameshark whatsoever.
play in easiest mode to unlock characters. set rounds to 1. |

i'm just a casual gamer,i played arcade on medium diff., all went well until i fight SETH. the difficulty seem changed into hard, if i play the VS mode, and set difficulty to medium and fight SETH, i can beat him quite easily. is there any tips to fight SETH? |

Yeah I felt that too...I played it on very easy and when I fought Seth, I only manage to hurt him till half HP...I got pwned like I don't know....more than 5 times? Don't know whether it's difficulty bug or what...

i dunno if you guys never played previous SF games or not (SFII, zero series, etc) but the difficulty ramp has always been :
game settings: whatever difficulty opponent 1-3 = the settings you choose opponent 4-5 = that setting +1 mid boss (if any) = that setting + 1.5 boss = that setting + 2 i has always been like that since SF1. |

hey guy i still cant cast the ultimate moves.... the triple punch/kick i need to press 3 button together rite...2 round button + 1 on top rite..

Are you using the Xbox controller? If yes, the 3x punch and kick is located at LB and LT, respectively. Just do the circular motion using the analog stick and press either the 3x punch or kick immediately after that. |

Guile I see a lot. Also do all the cheap tapping tricks. Dhalsim is an interesting one to fight. Haven't fought E Honda yet.
