rain-hop if not mistaken is old product. The new one now is Fusso Coat..

Your step 3 and 4 is actually the same. you just need to do either one. as far as i know ScratchX is usually not use for the whole car.

your method is what i was trying to do as well, but i didn't coz i can't do layering for SG later on.

Klasse you can get from car wash SS2, same row as perodua showroom.

you an..but is abit waste in my opinion..1 is already sufficient enuff...detailing is not how many layer you lay on the car..is more on how often you do ya car detailing that counts..

you dun need up to 7 layers of wax ohmy.gif ...you only need to do that if your car is a show car.. laugh.gif ...

just stick with the basic rule...clay when is needed, prep the surface before you seal with wax/sealent....

Just for ya info..NXT is not that great anyway.. doh.gif..overhype marketing..

because it is new that you should take care. anyways, do a test on your paint surface after a car wash la. get a cigarette plastic, put your hand in the plastic and just feel you car's surface. if you feel dots, those are bonded contaminants. that means you should clay before waxing.

Guys, anybody try this before? Like Teflon on your car. No need to wax. I'm curious on it.

hi! I'm new here. 1st time car driver. Going to get my car soon. I'm going to buy red color metallic but my friend advice me not to coz 1st my place don't have shade make the color fade very fast. 2nd, i need to really take care of it like wax, polish...

how often i need to do it? my fren say got skill one.... how much is the service charge in average?

What do i need to do to maintain the glossiness of my car color at the same time it won't fade so much over the years?

thks!

abt a 2month now, my review on NTX and GC wax is

NTX.
more shine ( good for dark colour)
not durable ( 3 or 4 rains will wash everything, my case 1 heavy rain kao tim)

GC
more durable
more depth

conclusion
everythning has its good and bad

optimal solution for both
1.wash
2.clay (soft 99)
3.wash.
4.dry
5.apply NTX, (apply whole car 1st then wait till dry, then buff)
6. let it cure for 6 to 24 hour
7.rinse
8.dry
9apply GC wax( apply softly else NTX will rip off)
10 buff.
11. sit back and watch ur car, drool~

Added on June 13, 2007, 3:12 pmand top up with GC wax every time u wash ur car

hi guys... i thinking to DIY myself...

i consider on
Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner (Step 1)
Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Polish (Step 2)
Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax (Step 3)
Meguiar's Quik Clay Detailing System

or

Meguair Smooth Surface Clay Kit
LINK

What the difference if compare with my "package" and the Smooth Surface Clay Kit?

And, what the obvious difference if i DIY with Meguiar product myself compare and done by AutoSpa&AutoDetailer?

Those DCS steps are for polishing; the clay kits are for claying. Ur package has the polishing parts in it vs the clay kit only.

Brothers Kelana Jaya. I bought mine there. thumbup.gif

Kedai Abang is where I got it .... it`s RM2 cheaper than Eneos. If u go to the Abang in Kelana Jaya, go up the staircase, turn right then left (so u`re in the center between the shelves) move to the 2nd pillar in the middle. That`s where u`ll find a load of Soft 99 Jap products. The clay bar is there. The staffs there may not know what a clay bar is ... but those who do call it "sabun". Go figure. - according to kenneth@myviclub
