Added on February 13, 2007, 3:04 pmPaintwork nowadays is very advanced, and usually, the type of clearcoat used on a car is pretty strong, either new car or freshly repainted car. As long as you don't paint your car under the ketapang tree shop ( or the cost of paintng your car is  more than 20% cheaper than market prices ), the quality of paints used should ensure that the clearcoat is of good quality.

Poyo, need your advice here. My car is 3 months old, have had no wax or polish session before. No noticeable swirls or scratches as far as I can tell (just 1 scratch on the bonnet). What should I do to maintain the shine of the paintjob? The car is parked mostly indoors. I planned to go for a waxing session once every 3-4 months without polishing since there are no noticeable scratches, but Autospa told me that I have to go for a polish session first to 'smooth' out the paint, then maintain it with regular waxing.

Any advice?

Guys, anybody try this before? Like Teflon on your car. No need to wax. I'm curious on it.

The one I saw wasn't like that. It's longish and is packed standing vertically. There's a large '#76' or '#77' according to the type you pick (76 for light paint, 77 for dark paint). Packaging in Japanese. Saw it at Eneos. Today got Jusco member sale, go buy lah biggrin.gif
