Very vague question.
What are u comparing the LX3 with?
Other similar compacts like the G9 and G10?
Or with DSLRs?

The LX3 sports an aperture of f/2.0 which provides much much better performance in low light compared to standard compact apertures of f/2.8 (1~2 stops better).
For me, this means a lot.

But if you are comparing it with DSLRs, you should take a good look at Daruma's post a few weeks back where he compared the performance of the LX3 with that of the A200.
With similar exposure levels (but different settings), the LX3 can almost beat some of the entry level DSLRs out there. And u need to consider that the LX3 is much much smaller and cheaper than DSLRs.

If you are looking for a low light performer in a compact camera, look no further, u will not find anything better than the king of kings thumbup.gif

i'm currently working in melbourne, aus..
for the 3 filters (UV, PL, ND) + len cap + 52mm adaptor cost me around rm 130 (incl shipping)
Ebay Link
and for the other 46mm adaptor + len cap + 46mm-52mm step up ring rm70 (incl shipping) (hvnt done enough research then bought it.. sigh)
Ebay Link

I got both of them from ebay, there are more and more accessories for LX3 now.. search for these sellers hkdcplus and d-slr-a

Oh my god, I got poison now. Do you mean if I get the filter package I do not need to buy the adaptor + lens cap?

Please show me the photos with and without the filter. I can't wait to get one for myself. drool.gif

yes.. get the filter package.. and u will get the panasonic's adaptor 52mm + a lens cap (that lens cap can't attach a string though)...

I can't wait to test it.. but i have to work.. : ( will tell u if it's worth buying...
reading about polarizer and filter usage... haha... wanna know more before using it...

my reading:
http://www.great-landscape-photography.com...ing-filter.html
http://www.colorado.edu/physics/2000/polar...rizationII.html
http://www.shooter.net/index.php/Item/using-a-polarizer/

apparently, we need to rotate the filter to adjust the right angle to get the most out of the PL filter... hmm.. interesting!
and the "handgun" hand symbol to find the right sun direction is kinda cool...

While I shopping for the link you provide I found Fish Eye lens. I love the effect of fish eye. Not much skill needed, just snap as usual. I am thinking to get the filter and the fish eye lens together.

The link:

Personally, I think any DC is expensive and will inexpensive depend on budget and the function of every camera is useful if the reviewer personally own this DC and utilised it biggrin.gif

i find that. if review the photo using fn button.
when i press and hold the direction button, it will show each photo one by one.
but if in review mode(slide to playback), when holding the button.
the number just jump over, without displaying the photo.
