Distortion generally means your photos look skewed or out of shape.
Straight lines become curves, faces become deformed.
This kinda phenomenon generally happens due to the lens, especially wide angle ones.
With the LX3, the 24mm lens sometimes causes some severe distortion at the corners.
An example is this:

The cup in the top left corner is severely distorted, if u compare it with the cup on the right.
But I've learned to live with a bit of distortion.
Most of them can be fixed with PP.
Another way might be to avoid weird angles when taking photos.
